The remote to close our blinds didn’t work. The woman who came to the room said it needed a new battery but she didn’t have one so basically we were out of luck. She seemed harried and unsympathetic. We had the bright street and parking lot lights shining through the window all night. At 2 am, someone pulled the fire alarm so I had to help my elderly parents get dressed. The thermostat in the room wasn’t working. We turned it up to 72 degrees but it took 8 hours just to get to 69 degrees by the next morning. I tried to call the front desk but nobody answered

Great hotel! We were visiting town for Risefest in Sheldon and found LeMars to be a beautiful place to stay overnight - that coincidentally had their own Ice Cream Festival going on the same weekend. Lovely grounds, extremely spacious rooms and service you'd expect from a luxury hotel. We will definitely stay here again!
