"The house is big and sprawling, with beautiful generous bedrooms and bathrooms, lovely comfortable beds and a cozy updated kitchen. I definitely could have used instructions on how to use an induction stove and a convection oven, and the clothes dryer. Having those instructions in English would have been a bonus! "A great property with plenty of space for families staying together. The swimming pool was excellent and the children loved it. A very quiet location, no noise from cars or roads but plenty of places to visit if you take the car!"

"Martine was there to meet us when we arrived, very friendly and helpful. Her English was better than our French. The property was as advertised - a well-stocked kitchen with induction hob (and all the right pots and pans for this), a clean oven, and all the cutlery and utensils we'd be likely to need. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and even the cockerel had the manners not to start crowing (is that the right word?) until around 10am, so sleep wasn't interrupted. It's a really quiet village but within very easy reach of a good supermarket with lots of fresh food and vegetables. It was a really, really hot week when we went and the prolonged drought meant that the grounds were totally parched, but there's plenty of space and after a little rain it will all be green again. During the week, we travelled as far south as Le Mans and Mont Saint-Michel, and up to the Normandy beaches in the north, and still had places we wanted to see and didn't have time. So, recommended for a week or longer, although I think shorter lets are available. We travelled from Portsmouth in the UK to Caen by ferry, which was really convenient and the drive to the house took less than an hour - once we'd got through customs."
