"The hotel is like walking back in time, but with modern updates. Very comfortable and laidback. The A/C made a bit of noise. Probably just needs a bit of maintenance. Overall we had a great time and are well rested. I would recommend this great hotel to anyone. The rooftop bar is a blast. Super cool."

"My husband and I stayed there last night while the hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff were very friendly, the bar was exceptional as my husband and I have not really had a date night my bartender really made sure that my husband enjoyed the rest of that evening LOL however my only complaint and the reason I gave it a four and out of five is I really think the hotel needs to invest in better beds. The bed was the most uncomfortable, outdated, and overall it is a small investment for an overall pleasant stay. Would we return?, we would return in hopes that they get new beds."

"We had 3 rooms. All of them were clean. The check in process was easy except for Expedia messing up our reservation from their end to the hotel's end. The property is improving as far as aesthetically and you can tell they are putting in the work. The rooms were clean, had adequate amenities, the a/c worked well and we slept well. We did not get to use the mini golf course because we were too busy doing other things in Galveston. The steps - those things are steep! They also need some work done. There were cracked tile overlays on the steps that could be a tripping hazard. The handrails are wooden which need some attention as well. Otherwise, the location is easy to get to, it was quiet and comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly as well. If you're staying the night before your cruise, you can park there while you're cruising and save a ton of money on parking."
