Great hotel with lots of old school charm. The first day we had a beautiful room but not much of a view. As soon as we asked the manager, he promised to move us to a room with a view the next day (after some rooms became available). The room change happened while we were in one of the comfortable lounges looking outside and having Darjeeling tea and biscuits. Sinclares Resort is such a gem! The entire property is meticulously maintained and nicely decorated with beautiful landscaping. The premium room is spacious and bedding is clean and comfortable. They provide you with a heater during winter time so the room is plenty warm. The best part is the hot shower which is so much better compared to other equally expensive hotels we stayed across India. You can take a really comfortable shower without worrying about the hot water running out in the middle...

Sinclair's is an older, well-maintained, and attractive property, with beautiful views of Kanchenjunga. The street leading up to it is steep, and then are stairs leading up to the hotel and more to the rooms (no lift), so you need to be all right with that. (We're over 70 and had no problem.) The staff is lovely and go out of their way to help you. I'd single out Bragya--I hope I have her name right--for exceptional service, helping us find a taxi to Bagdogra at a heavily touristed festival...

I was surprised how lovely the interior of the hotel was as I walked through it. The room was nice and the front desk staff were helpful, as noted in other reviews. The breakfast was a basic continental one: toast, 2 eggs, fruit, juice and coffee or tea. A lobby sign states the AM & PM hours when hot water is available in your room. We had a wonderful stay in a marvelous tea estate. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

The property and service is of a high quality, and the hotel is in a convenient location.

The location is really good and the service is amazing. The room design is also very spacious and modern looking, with good lighting. I only wish there was AC as it was a bit humid, and the room wasn't as clean as I am used to (some dust, dirt), but for the value it is an excellent stay, and the service of the staff was a highlight.

Perfect place to stay and have a nice dinner.
