The hotel itself is so convenient for traveling and is directly in the city centre the hotel room was really cosy and had everything I needed for my two nights stay Breakfast buffet service was really nice with plenty of options to choose from Maybe having a mini fridge in the room would be nice to keep items refrigerated

Great location, rooms are nice, big and you can open the windows. Refurbished decor throughout, doesn’t look great from the ground floor or outside but lovely hotel once you’re inside and a brilliant breakfast too.

Im a bit disappointed with this hotel, the staye of the room, linens, also breakfast. Its disgusting as at least normal standard is expected from hilton. The worst thing was the rotating door was stuck on me in it trying to go out and nobody was arround to help me out. I was stuck there for good 10min and thankfully i wasn’t alone we had to use force and push the door to rotate and i got outm horrible

Aircon didn’t work. Shower curtain railing wasn’t screwed in properly, leaving it loose and the middle part of the railing further down - causing water to escape. Breakfast was lovely tho!

Friendly Hotel.

Very clean and comfortable. Lovely, friendly staff. Good location. Desk was ready for replacing and bathroom sliding door wouldnt lock but made no difference to our stay. Would definitely go back there.

It’s not a hotel a would stay in again, I didn’t feel safe as I woke up in the morning to screaming and shouting and fighting in the corridor. When exiting the building around 9am to go out for the day there was a young man passed out (drunk) in the entrance. It was not a pleasant experience.

Great stay, it was a shame the bar was under construction but it did not impact my stay. This being said, Small parts of the room could of done with a refresh much like the bar as it was hard to read the air conditioning unit buttons as the labels had been scratched off but overall it was a lovely room.

Nice clean hotel, convenient for everything, only downside was I was in a room next to the busy railway station and it was soo noisy I couldn’t sleep and was woken up at 5 am from the train, probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Well appointed hotel with super helpful staff. The bar and lobby area are freezing in the winter because they are effectively open to the external doors. Very disappointed at the intransigent response to my request for a refund as I had to check out a day earlier for family reasons - despite I told them 2 days earlier. Not what I expect from Hilton, especially as a Hilton Honours member for 20 years. The way of the world I guess?

The staff were very nice, and coped well with the problems caused the worldwide Microsoft bug. The only problem was with the AirCon system which couldnt be switched off or controlled, but did anyhow keep the room very cool.

Check in okay. No perks or anything offered at check in and no mention of Hilton honours. Opening the door the room had a horrific smell. Like an old foist smell mixed with chemicals and generally state odour. I called reception who said they’d send someone from housekeeping. On closer inspection of the room it had clearly not been cleaned. Dirty and hair on the bedsheets. Black hair handing from the chair and all over the carpet- I’m red. Something smeared all over the chair leather, mould and scum in the shower. Bed sheets not even tucked in. After 15 minutes someone came from housekeeping, basically said there was nothing she could do, we can’t open the windows to air the room out so just call reception to get a new room. Called reception and told them twice what house keeping had said. Clearly wasn’t listening as he just kept saying wait for housekeeping. Then hung up on me. Great. Called back and was told they would try to find a room but couldn’t tell me how long it would take. Told them, as I had discussed at check in, I was in a rush and now had only 30 minutes before I had to leave the hotel for a black tie event. She said she still couldn’t let me know and they’d call me back. I asked her if I was suppose to start getting ready or wait? I was then put on hold for another 5 minutes and eventually given another room. This one was marginally better and looked like it had actually been cleaned. Actually had a card in there to tell you who cleaned it…other did not.

Below par - sleeper beware!

Whilst you couldn’t fault the friendly staff, the room I stayed in… • If you like beds with mattresses made of concrete, this is the place for you! If you actually want to wake up refreshed and without severe backache, I’d choose another hotel. • Whilst the room was clean, the furniture was damaged and looked very tired round the edges and up close. • The blackout curtains would have worked better if they’d had been on a runner with a curtain string. The last couple of inches were never going to close. • To be fair, out of all the hotels I’ve stayed in, the air con controls actually did work and it was efficient. • I was a bit surprised having paid up front in full on hotels.com, to have then had to pay a £50 (refundable) fee on arrival. This has put me off staying in Hilton hotels in future. • Advertising room service - great, I was looking forward to this. The small print? £5.00 tray charge. So, no, I didn’t order room service. • Down in the bar, the drinks were over priced too. A Corona Cero = £5. In any supermarket you can buy a pack of 4 for that price. • Excellent location for train station… but if trains and guard whistles aren’t your thing, and you want absolute peace and better double glazing… find a different hotel and further away.
