The house was impeccable and charming with that “old Florida “ feel. Centrally located, we found it easy to take day trips elsewhere. The owner was immediately responsive to any need we had and we absolutely would book again!

The house was very welcoming and relaxing! The host was quick to answer all questions and very accomadating! I loved the size of the home and location. Very quiet neighborhood and neighbors were very kind! We were in town for my nephew's wedding so didn't have time to really explore the area. Would like to return to rent this home again so we can explore the area! The game room was a huge plus! Thank you for hosting us!

What a great stay! The property was excellent. Close to stores yet a very quiet and secluded feel. Both the inside and the outside were very charming. House felt big and open. Plenty of room. Hosts were readily available all throughout the process and even came to the rescue when we needed something. Would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

Wonderful experience

Our stay at Bob and Melanie’s Wilderness Cabin and the Lake House was fantastic! The sunset water views were beautiful and the cabin provided everything we needed to be comfortable. It had a rustic Disney theme and was super clean! The Lakehouse was spacious and we had fun playing ping pong, pool and darts. We definitely will be back!

Family vacation

Such a beautiful home! Carol and bob were great hosts. The game room was a hit for us and the kiddos, lots of fun and very cozy! Outside was absolutely beautiful, the oak trees & the path down to the chairs by the water, such a beautiful experience! I only wish we had more time there!

Great location for fishing a bass tournament on Lake Griffin!

This property was conveniently located 5 miles from the Herlong Park boat ramp. It's just off Hwy 441, close to restaurants and shops but it feels like a secluded hideaway. There was parking for two boat trailers. The house was spacious, comfortable and well laid out. Everything you needed was provided - even coffee! We enjoyed our short stay!

Wonderful Experience!

We had an absolutely perfect stay during Christmas! The home is very spacious and was super comfortable for our family. Three couples a toddler and a collie. The host thinks of everything to make your stay comfortable. He even offered to put up a Christmas tree for us before we got there, which we happily accepted! We mentioned hoping to use the fire pit and Bob actually made sure we had firewood! There’s a pool table, ping pong table and even a box of toys for little ones. We were there to visit other family for the holidays so unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of all of the amenities at this house but we will stay here the next time we come back, it’s such a fun house. There’s a pretty lake view, a large yard and even an RV hook up. The location is perfect, not far from historic downtown Leesburg, walking distance to a few restaurants, minutes from a mall and grocery stores, and less than 30 minutes to beautiful Mount Dora. The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped and the house was very clean. Our bedroom didn’t seem to get a lot of heat (I’m always cold) but there were extra blankets in the linen closet and they were super comfy. The house is a little dated but it’s so clean and spacious it was a non issue for us. The host was extremely responsive throughout all communications before and during our stay. I think he lives in this lake neighborhood, my husband, brother-in-law and sister met him and said he couldn’t be nicer!. Highly recommend!

The hosts were fantastic! Great follow up and quick communication with any questions we had. The beautiful home was spotless. It was the perfect place for a quiet small family gathering to celebrate our Dad's 90th birthday. It provided lots of parking a simple step up for Dad and a comfortable recliner in a huge great room with plenty of seating for everyone to gather and hear old stories. The game room was perfect for the older grandchildren to shoot some pool and play ping pong. The kitchen was well stocked and we made great use of the grill too. So many thoughtful details. Even providing dog beds and treats! They thought of absolutely everything!

Lovely home with all the amenities one would need. It was conveniently located to where our Amphicar Swim-In activities were held. The covered canopy was great protection for our convertibles and the trailer parking had plenty of room for the rig.Communication from the host was very good and we even got to meet him. Made the booking well in advance, but plenty of photos in the listing made us feel like we were already there.I certainly hope to stay here in the future!
