" 10 STARS OUT OF 5! I ranked everything 5 stars because that’s all they would let me give — but this home deserves 10 out of 5!Every single detail was perfect. The home was beautiful, incredibly well thought out, and somehow gave our family the perfect combination of space to all be together AND space to spread out, sleep, get ready, and actually be comfortable. I truly think we used every single inch of this house!The beds were SO comfortable. The kids absolutely LOVED the pond. The welcome gifts were such a thoughtful touch. The design, decor, layout, amenities… I could seriously go on and on, but I’d probably use every character they allow me. Maybe the best review I can give is this: our family has always done a reunion every two years. After this trip, everyone decided we need to do it EVERY year. And I’m pretty sure this house had a lot to do with it!We made some incredible memories here and genuinely did not want to leave. If you’re considering booking this home for a family gathering — DO IT. You will not regret it. "

"We enjoyed another rejuvenating stay at Home on the Hill! As always, the homeis clean, well-stocked with anything you may need, relaxing and comfortable! The pool is a favorite and was enjoyed every day the weather afforded the opportunity! We enjoy the privacy of the pool and the breath-taking sunset views from the deck.We always enjoy a night out at the Towpath Tavern for dinner and drinks. The CanalStreet Diner is a favorite for breakfast. Their homemade bread is a must! This is, byfar, one of our favorite vacation destinations! Thank you for another great stay, Trista and Matt!"
Cottage type private house in quiet neighborhood

"This was an old home built in early 1939's - so almost 100! And because it is old, there are very steep stairs going up to bedroom. And for older folks, it's really not a good match. We had to come down sideways, holding tightly to the banister. There wasn't a handrail on wall side which would have helped. And the steps from back porch going down to the backyard were also narrow & at different heights which made them difficult as well taking our dog out, especially when it rained & they were wet! But over all the house was very clean & had comfortable beds. And only having the bathroom upstairs by bedroom was a little inconvenient. Maybe for young people, it woyld work fine, but for those in our mid-late 70's, not so much. The hosts were very nice as was next door neighbor. They could improve on their supplies better by having name brand detergents, soaps & paper goods. Most were from the dollar store."
