Evi the property host was so friendly and helpful - even helping to bring us food from her brothers delicious tavern one day when I was sick and we had no car. The pool was a great addition to have access to and the walk to town was only about 15 min. You could easily walk to other villages and dining options as well. Easy parking on the premises as well. "What I liked: the owners/staff was very friendly, the pool, location Now I understand that this was a comfort apartment but I still disliked: the creaking beds, the doors that do not close properly and its locks are very noisy, other guests late in the night kept waking us up just by opening their doors, the kitchen part was poorly equipped, no big deal but only 1 butter knife for 2 people."

"It was our second stay. Everything was good. Except 3 issues. There should be more cups etc. In the kitchen available. Second issue is wifi that most of the time is very poor or doesn't work at all and it needs some upgrade. And 3rd we decided not to use swimming pool this time, because it becomes basically public swimming pool. Entire neighborhood and people who doesn't stay at Avra coming to use the pool and when we arrived dog was swimming in the pool. It was quite discouraging to use the...

"The luxury suite was great and spacious, the bar man Fortis was the best staff ever and made us feel welcome. We were only disappointed when the lady at reception made us wait whilst she ate for 20 mins when we needed our keycard to get back in our room. That wasn't good. However Fortis the bar man kept us happy with great conversation and apologies whilst we waited."

"While Gouvia is not much to write home about, this hotel and some excellent restaurants in town gave us a great experience. The hotel is lovely, very clean and the staff couldn't be nicer to their guests. It looks like it has been recently renovated extensively. We have found five swimming pools but wouldn't be surprised if there are more. Our room was very spacious and clean. Sheets and towels are changed every day. There is a small supermarket about a minute away from the hotel. Gouvia town...

"Beautiful hotel, can’t think of a single fault. amazing value for money, rooms are big, clean and comfy and have a lovely balcony space. the family who run the hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. it’s in a lovely location, just a short walk from the beach, gouvia centre and the marina. Bonus points for the hotel dogs snoopy and rosie! :)"

"The staff working there were so lovely and friendly, and really helpful. The apartment was great- clean, bright and spacious. Two great pools. Only a ten minute taxi to the old town. The main road near the hotel is sort of chaotic as a pedestrian but definitely avoidable during your stay. Would hugely recommend this lovely stay! "
