Nice hotel in a great location

Area is quite sketchy at night, a group of 3 guys pulled up on bikes and tried to pickpocket us while walking a few minutes from the hotel. Hotel was nice and staff were excellent!

The Harper is a nice small hotel, but situated very close to Paddys Pub and SkyGarden where the noise penetrates your room till 3am. Most of the clientele appear to be mainland Indonesian or Indian so breakfast buffet is a challenging experience. The staff are nice and friendly and the rooms clean and tidy. Location is fine if your looking to be round the Bali Bombing Memorial are.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We paid for 14 days of breakfast but only ate it on the first day. Need more western food and vegetarian. However room 337 was very damp from the air con. It spat water everywhere and made everything damp. Bed, clothing etc. We put up with the dampness for 14 days! We never felt dry or clean the whole time.

Good 4* in the "middle" of Kuta. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars in vicinity. 20m pool part shaded all morning and most of afternoon. Generous room size. AirCon a little weak but the room cools down eventually. Not a hotel for beach-goers (a very long walk). Breakfast "OK"... Cereals, juice, toast, egg-station, more oriented to south east asians than people from UK however.

Decent Stay, But Needs Improvements

The property is decent, but the pictures online are definitely deceiving. The property needs updating, but I guess you get what you pay for. The location is great, and the staff was responsive to requests to clean my room. However, the room wasn’t cleaned to my standards. I had to call them back a couple of times to clean it again. Once, there was a stain on my sheets, and on other occasions, I found hair on the floor, so they had to come back to sweep again. I also didn’t like that I had to pay for bottled water, which should be free since we can’t drink the tap water.

Friendly staff. Room Clean . Bed comfortable. Can be quieter facing pool. Breakfast selection great but hot food and soup are luke warm even when Breakfast just started. Food is cooking good.
