Had a lovely few days away, the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Most importantly the hotel is near all amenities ie resteraunts and shops. Definitely would visit again.

Ok if staying for a night out. Not for business

Friendly staff. But hotels seen better days. Very tired. Was hairs in the bed. But noisy hotel right in the city. Room over looks a pub. Other guest playing music till 2am. Then the pub below had the kegs changed at 5am for around an hour. No breakfast

Very good location with economical parking option. Room is in good size and looks nice at first sight, however, when walking around the room, the floor is sounds, the fan in bathroom is sounds. And room clean service looks like not available every day, during 4 night stay my room only been treated twice. Been visited Leicester many times, this one is most central ever but hope it improves.

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star! it is nothing like the pictures. It is run down, unclean and tatty. We asked for a refund and left immediately.

We received a phone call from this property when we were enroute asking when we would be checking in. Never had this before and thought it to be quite pushy as there are no times set out on the listing as to when you have to check in by. It was only an hour after check in time. Also the room had a musty smell, possibly due to poor ventilation in the bathroom. The side tables in the bedroom looked like they hadn’t been dusted in months and some of the bedding was dirty. The bed was however comfortable, shower hot and tv worked so not completely awful. Maybe just a couple of things to improve on.

The room(s) was fantastic! Very clean and comfortable. It would help if staff knew exactly how to best manage parking in the high cross rooftop parking so as to explain well when asked. Also, the basin in the bathroom would not drain away well at all.

This hotel is nothing like as described Had to get into a dirty lift to get to reception No one there to check in Had to call a mobile number to check in The reception and corridors were dirty Random people just mulling around the hotel And I didn’t even go back to sleep there So £125 wasted And I booked into another hotel AVOID at all costs

Do not recommend.

Honestly I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I was expecting some comforts. Cold water only in the shower and the sink. The shower barely had room to turn around in. Bedding was very scratchy and made it difficult to have a good nights sleep. Very poor telephone mannerisms when contacted beforehand. Would not recommend at all.

The websites describe this as a four star hotel and I can't see how that is. There are some terrible reviews that we only saw after we'd booked but we actually had a very pleasant time there, over two nights. Good location. Good big bed too, slept well, not much noise even with the lift right next door to us. We were at the back, with a view of a bare brick wall, away from the weekend post-pub stuff out front. Weird square cushions instead of pillows. There were two safes in the room, neither of which worked, a fridge that worked well but had nothing in it, and a kettle but no coffee sachets supplied. Lots of storage space that we didn't really need and the room was spacious, with a good big bathroom off. Good shower. It was average. Next time, we'll find somewhere above average, that's better value for the money.

1st Impressions. Arrival and checkin were fine, the room was on the top floor adjacent to the reception (meaning all guests walked past this room). When 1st stepping into the room it was really hot, the heating had been left on maximum, it took some time to reduce this. The coffee cups in the room were stained snd clearly had not been cleaned, as a result I didn’t trust the overall cleaning of the room. I did report this, the cups were replaced, it just didn’t feel clean. If you can’t get the basics right…. The bedding cover was quite thin and didn’t offer any comfort, We overlooked the street and had noise from traffic, people in the street and sirens for what seemed like most of the night. Booked the hotel based on location, and it is very close to the City Centre, but I wouldn’t book again.

Positive experience despite criticism

If all you need is a bed after a night on the lash like us then this place is great and I would stay again. If you're looking for a nice hotel for a romantic getaway then it's not. Positives - Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Great location for city access. Discount on public parking fee. Comfy bed. Good shower. Mini fridge in room. Negatives - Strong smell of cannabis in and around the hotel. Not sure if some of the rooms are residential instead of hotel rooms. Our room looked a bit worn. Could do with freshening with paint, new curtains etc. General cleanliness was OK, however room could do with a deep clean. Under the bed was dirty. Toilet wasn't the cleanest. Window nets were starting to go mouldy. No tea or coffee facilities in room.

Great location in a thriving, buzzing city centre. We booked before reading other reviews which we now feel, having stayed in the hotel, was somewhat unfair. Firstly very impressed that we were phoned to check what time we were arriving. The front of house were superb any problem that we encountered was dealt with efficiently and promptly. That is what you want in a good hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We both had a good night’s sleep once we had enjoyed some of the delights Leicester had to offer and had finished off the evening at the hotel’s well-stocked bar which was open until 4am, if we had needed that. Regarding breakfast: yes, breakfast would have been delightful on the great balcony, but it was clear from the website that breakfast was not an option. We were told that during the week they could have ordered breakfast in but this was not a possibility at weekends. That said there are several cafes close by - that offer a fantastic range of breakfasts and we were able to take advantage of that. What we really appreciated was the late checkout time of 11am which enabled us to enjoy a good breakfast and have time to return to our room and pack and depart without any stress. The receptionist were great- Max and Alicee were exceptionally great. We are looking forward to stay there again. My Partner and I felt comfortable. LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 friendly.

The hotel is in the centre of Leicester, very near the shops, the room is nice even though it's a budget room, got the amenities like tea making and beautiful shower. The hotel is hard to locate, due to there is no frontage, and the one way traffic system, got list a few time, parking is at nearby Highcross car park, it cost £6.00 for 24 hours because of concessions Over all it's a pleasant stay
