Our room was very good but the carpet was so dirty that it really gave an awful impression. When we looked around more we saw that everything else was clean but the carpet in the livingroom was just disgusting. I didn't want to take my shoes off at all to walk on it even just before bed. It really should be replaced. Other than that the rest was fine.

Leipzig is a gorgeous city, but Days Inn was quite a walk from the attractions. There were very few eating/drinking opportunities nearby so if you came back to your room to rest or clean up at about five, you were more or less stuck there for the evening. Days Inn did sell over-the-counter beer, soft drinks and packet-nibbles but the only place to consume them was in your room or in the very small lounge (just 4 or so chairs) shown in the picture. The room was a reasonable size but the whole place is well overdue for a makeover. When I was there, all the other guests seemed to be German families - kids and all. The staff at Days Inn were extremely kind and helpful.

Close to City Centre
The Days Inn was converted to a hotel from an apartment building, so each room had a separate bedroom, living & dining area, kitchen and bath. Our family of 27 loved the extra space to spread out in! The living room was great for our family to gather in each day to go over our plans for the day and to share experiences and stories. It was in walking distance to the city centre. We walked to St. Thomas church where a Bach concert was being held. We enjoyed listening to the music on the organ. There were also street musicians playing in the park nearby and we enjoyed listening to them while eating a sandwich for lunch in the park.

Comfortable enough
I would not rate this a 3 star but a 2star , although the room was spacious enough and they provided dishes and silverware no where to eat except on bed. Couldn't have window open and close sheers or drapes and need the window open since no air conditioning.

Very poor hotel
Ok, where do I start. There were a couple of good points. The hotel is very close to a tram stop and the staff were very pleasant and helpful, but that's it. This hotel was once a East German apartment block, and my room felt like I was still in the 1970's. Bed was uncomfortable, marks and stains all over the floor, the tv was from the 1980's the room was large, and with dodgy lighting. If you leaned against the bathroom walls, they would have collapsed. This is a budget hotel, and I do not know where the room pictures came from.

Worth it
We wanted an inexpensive place to stay and didn't expect anything fancy. I requested a double room and ended up with basically a full apartment. The beds were not fancy but comfy. Plenty of closet space. Cleanliness I would rate an A. The kitchenette was stocked with cookware and dishes which would have been very useful if we stayed more than one day. Both desk attendants I encountered were pleasant.

OK Place
Sometime, the person at the desk didn't speak English. The front (streetside) rooms are noisy. Rooms are not air conditioned (a few days after we left, the temperature was in the 90's) I would stay there again. There's nothing wrong with it, but I might look at other options. It looks like a converted Soviet apartment building.

Ok for an overnight stop.
Clean but odd room (suite is too grand a word but there was more than one room & a kitchen). Strange selection of furniture but nonetheless clean & adequate for our overnight stop. Location is outside town centre. I suppose you could walk but it is a bit of a trek. We drove (5-10 minutes) Helpful staff. Note entrance is on the opposite side to the car park but if you buzz at the door in the car park side, they'll let you in.

Great hotel -great value
Very central and convenient to the city centre, and at the same time it is in a quiet area. Family room is more like an apartment and very spacious. Room service excellent and receptionists are very helpful.

Vastly overrated
I spent 4 lousy nights at this hotel. Tattered carpets, no air flow, hot and sticky with no way to cool the room. I asked for a fan and I received this look as to why would anyone want a fan. Had to have windows open so would be awakened at 1:30 am as drunken guests returned. And if you like a little ice in your water you are out of luck. No ice in the building. At least there was a refrigerator. Easy tram access to the city center.

low budget hotel
there was an unpleasant smell in the room, the curtains did not block the light. I am one of those people that need darkness to sleep. I had booked 4 nights, but after the first night I inform the front desk that I would be moving the next day, the front desk person inform me that I will have to pay for the entire stay, regardless of my early check out. I manage to negotiate and ended it up paying 50% for each night cancelled.

Sketchy neighborhood;
The hotel clerk must get commission for selling their rewards program! She would not let me register...had to listen to her sales pitch for a good, solid five minutes first, even tho' I repeatedly told her I was not interested. Maybe that's why she forgot to take care of my wake up call the next morning!

Reasonable budget hotel, don't expect luxuries.
Great budget hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast is $10 euro which is not unreasonable. Rooms are quite large and very simple, nothing fancy just a bed, non-flatscreen TV and a table. Bathroom was of a reasonable size, although the shower head needs updating/fixing.

Happy in the suburbs
Large apartment 15 mins walk to the central station. Located amongst other apartment blocks this one has been renovated and turned into a hotel. Possibly more for the car traveller as most visitors seemed to be than others I liked being out in the 'burbs' for a change. Get a different feel to the city to that you will have seeing all the 'sights'. Staff super friendly and helpful which at almost two months of travelling is becoming more appreciated. Got stuck in Leipzig due to the train strike and happily went back and asked for an extra night with them. Laundromat just across the road was handy along with supermarket 5 mins away. Basic cooking equipment in the kitchen. Bath always apreciated. Large light filled lounge room.

Nice staff.
The staff was friendly and spoke English well. The rooms were oddly layed out and somewhat uncomfortable. We had a double bed which was really two twins pushed together. No AC.
