"Excellent hotel"

"Scandinavia was very close to the train station and easy to get to. Also, it was very close to walk into the Old Town center and the water for our Archipelago tour. The room was quiet, the bed and linens very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was varied for all tastes. Highly recommend this hotel for travelers to Goteborg."

"Welcoming Friendly staff from reception, pool and spa staff, restaurant staff as well as the housekeeping staff nothing was too much when asking a question/query and they were all happy to help. Food was excellent. Rooms are very nice ,clean and spotless, beds and pillows were very comfy. The whole stay and experience was definitely value for money. I will definitely be booking another stay in the very near future"

"The Liseberg is an amazing hotel - if you have toddlers or young children you HAVE to book, you won’t be disappointed. From a slide that takes you down to the lobby, the carousel at breakfast, children’s cutlery, microwaves to sterilise your bottles, bunk beds & decent cots - it was so super child friendly! & great location for the amusement park of course, & for Universeum & the trams. Only things I’d mention is the need for your own baby bath (we took a fold out one we could fill in the shower) and the wallpaper by the bunk beds had a few creatures that might frighten the smallest children (nothing that can’t be blocked with pillows)."

"Friendly staff. Good quality, plentiful & varied breakfast. Excellent location. Walking distance to old town & trams/buses stop outside for elsewhere. Roof bar was fabulous. Down side was no tea/coffee in the room and thin mattress on bed but we still slept well & you can purchase tea/coffee in reception."

"Lovely stay. Exceptionally clean and staff couldn't be more helpful. Beautiful rooftop bar and the gym you could access was great. I didn't get to experience everything the hotel had to offer but I'd definitely stay again. The breakfast was 5* and the hotel was in a fantastic location."

"Pros- the location is fantastic - directly across the central station for train and bus. Nordstan Mall is 100m away. Right in the heart of the city. Can't to much better than this. -The breakfast was simply outstanding - especially the overnight oatmeal topped with turkeyish yogurt, their berry compote and sunflower seeds.. YUM! - The beds were very comfortable, slept well. The room itself was in the older section on the hotel, pleasant enough but not very bright - somber atmosphere. Cons - Our bedroom was poorly lite. One of the ceiling bulb was out. No direct lighting at the desk to write in my journal. The air exchange vent in the shower stall made a constant noise like when the toilet tank is filling up with water. - First time ever staying at a hotel where the guests have to pay to use their swimming pool and sauna. I realize that it's like a spa, and one would expect to pay for services like a massage or any other form of treatment...but for the pool? -Lastly, the Expedia site on which I booked this hotel has two entries - one as laundry and dry cleaning services, the other as having a laundry facility which would indicate that washing and drying machines are available for guests, usually at a cost. This was one of the main reasons why I chooses this hotel, except it doesn't. We had already been traveling for a week, so it would have been nice to have our clothes washed when living out of our backpacks, without having to pay an arm and a leg for laundry services."
