"Very clean and comfortable. In an excellent area, close enough to enjoy the area but also quiet to get a good rest. A bit challenging to find the reception desk, no signs of where to go just the name of the building which we had no idea of which way to go. Overall I would stay there again."

"This is a clean, comfortable hotel in an amazing area. The bedroom was really clean, air-conditioning and with a large comfortable bed and astounding views. The outside is pretty basic but the owners were friendlyand helpful, breakfast good and for us, a wine tour and the local social bar and public swimming pool both very close were made it a perfect stay. We watched the eclipse there and swam when the sun went black!"

PortAventura Hotel Gold River - Includes unlimited access to PortAventura Park & 1 day access to Ferrari Land
8/10 Good
"We had a fantastic 3-night stay at PortAventura Hotel Gold River as a family of four, with our two children aged 10 and 12.
The hotel was excellent and the Wild West theme made the whole experience feel like part of the adventure. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for all four of us, and the location within the resort was brilliant.
The biggest bonus was the unlimited access to PortAventura Park, which made it so easy to come and go without having to worry about tickets. Having a full day included at Ferrari Land was also a real highlight, and the kids absolutely loved it.
There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, with fantastic rides, shows and attractions for both children and adults. We particularly enjoyed being able to walk straight from the hotel into the park and make the most of our time there.
Overall, it was a brilliant family break. The combination of a great hotel, excellent park access and Ferrari Land made it really good value and took away much of the hassle of organising everything separately.
We would definitely stay at Hotel Gold River again and would highly recommend it to families looking for a fun-filled PortAventura getaway."
"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent for walking around and exploring the area. We were very happy with our room, the pools were wonderful, and our sea view was absolutely gorgeous. The only downside is that it’s quite a walk to the beach. The buffet breakfast was nice and had a decent selection, although it was one of the more expensive meals we had during our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it."
"This was a lovely hotel, amazing grounds to walk around with many lovely features. Great size family room with ample car parking. The above ground car park was free with the underground locked car park paid. The pool was lovely although there were many “petting”couples so I don’t know if it’s where people go for a romantic getaway. The restaurant was nice, but the staff could have been a bit friendlier. Tables need to be booked by 8pm at reception. Robes and flip flops in the rooms were a nice touch as made it easy to wander to the pool and back. Overall a great place to stay. The dog was given his own little welcome pack on arrival!"
"Hemos estado a gusto.Un problemas comedores saturados, grandes colas para poder comer.La animación de la noche bastante mejorable.Pero por lo demás muy a gusto

"Definitely get the sea view room. Location is everything with this place. We went for the eclipse and as an older couple we enjoyed a relaxing day at the pool. It was not the kind of place we normally go. It is perfect for families and it was nice to see people having fun without screens. The staff was helpful but not intrusive. Appreciated that they were on top of keeping the floors dry with everyone dripping water. The place is a bit dated but it had a charm to it. The pool is the main feature and it was kind of nice that they close it early so you can enjoy the peaceful sea views in the evening. Elevators were a complaint for some but we were on the 3rd floor and didnt mind walking down. The other issue is the parking but we totally lucked out getting there early to get a spot near the hotel. We just kept up on paying the meter every 4 hours until the evening when parking was free."
"The hotel itself was ideally located and impecably maintained by staff.
I do however have 3 complaints. According to my booking a complimentary bottle of wine was to be provided upon check in. The bottle was eventully brought to the room on day 3 of 4, after i mentioned it. The bottle had a cork, no corkscrew provided. ew complaints the biggest of which was that when I asked to speak with the manager regarding my concern that in the expedia property listing it states that umbrella and chairs under beach ammenities only to find out that they cost $20 euros a day to rent. Why would these not be listed as extra fee items versus ammen. Inoncern I was told by several staff that they would be in later in the day only to find out on my 4th visit that they were not scheduled to work that day and would not be in....why not tell me that in the first place. I did leave my name and number and was never contacted."
