We hired bikes from him which were in great condition and saved us organising it ourselves - they were there when we arrived in the courtyard with off street parking. "Fabulous property in a gorgeous village, then minutes inland from the sea. The house is well equipped and beautifully decorated with three large bedrooms. My daughter loved the table football. Opposite a great butchers and almost next door to a lovely boulangerie and the local bar. Gorgeous French restaurant just past the stone church. And la terriere beach is a strip of golden sand fronting the Atlantic. Lovely relaxing holiday."

"Absolutely fantastic property with all the amenities you need. Beautiful pool and a garden which the sun doesn't leave until the evening. Very clean. Friendly conceiege and contact with the owner on booking was good. It's a walk into La Rochelle itself but we didn't mind that. Supermarket a short walk. We would definitely stay here again, we loved it."

"Maison agréable dans un quartier calme. Dommage que pour ce long pont du 8 mai la piscine n était pas disponible. Il faudrait dès le moi de mai proposer cette location avec piscine. Dans La chambre avec les lits simples, il faudrait prévoir des pieds de lit plus hauts de 15cm, facile à changer. Problème avec la plaque de cuisson non fonctionnelle , impossible de préparer un repas. Dommage que l on est rencontré ce problème."

"Beautiful house on a corner terrace, photos were accurate the property was very well equipped. The availability of the garage was useful for our bikes and roof box. The local town had a daily market selling amazing produce, the local bakery was also amazing along with an ice cream parlour which made fabulous waffles. The nearby sandy beach was within walking distance and had a nice bar. It was easy to hire a bike and use the many bike paths to visit other towns on the island. We would definitely...

"This was a wonderful place to stay. The pictures correspond very accurately to the location itself. Walking distance to the Abbey and the fort nearby. Beautiful walks along the coastline to the village La Flotte (about 15 minutes away). The host was wonderful welcoming us. Loved the two welcome gifts, very nice touch! This was a very quiet location, no cars, no loud groups, just the calm of morning birds and light wind. We highly recommend!"

"We stayed for one night at this property. Great location with free parking close by. A good base for exploring La Rochelle. Would stay again but mattress not very comfortable and first hotel I have ever stayed in where they ask you to take your rubbish out yourself. It served a purpose and the bottles of water and sweets were a nice touch. "
