When we arrived we were greeted by a happy, smiling member of staff who promptly checked us in and then proceeded to inform us about the hotel's various facilities and where to go in Les Sables d'Olonne. The hotel itself was only about a year old at the time of our visit and was well maintained. We have nothing negative to say about The Hotel Vertime!

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are tasteful and well laid out. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We only had breakfast one day but it is very good. Hot and cold options allow you to have anything from a pastries and jams to fruit, yoghurt, to cheeses, charcuterie, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. The rooftop terrace has great views of the port, but it can get windy. The pool is gorgeous but small and there are only six sun loungers, which can get competitive. It is well situated, just a short walk from the main parts of town and most of the good restaurants. If we visit Les Sables-d'Olonne again, we will definitely stay at Hotel Vertime again.

Practical but not perfect…..

Hotel was practical and reasonably well located. Parking was a struggle as not many spaces for the size of hotel. Was told to park in the local public car park. Service pretty slow in general, but staff were friendly enough.

Our room wasn’t cleaned/serviced at all during our two night stay. We left the sign on the door asking for the room to be serviced at 10am and returned at 5pm to find it never was. When checking out I told the concierge this and I was completely ignored, his response was to ask me if he can charge the card they had on file. No apology, not even a goodbye, he just handed me a receipt and looked to the next person in the queue to check out.

Il y avait une mauvaise odeur dans la 1ere chambre attribuée mais la réceptionniste nous en a immédiatement donné une autre. Ces dernières sont plutôt fonctionnelles et propres. Les couloirs sont un’peu défraîchis mais bon état général. Le petit dej est très bien. Le vrai PLUS de cet hôtel c’est le rooftop et la piscine avec vue pour un véritable moment de détente ( nous avons adoré le St germain spritz !)

Mon séjour dans cet hôtel a malheureusement été gâché par un manque cruel de professionnalisme dans la gestion des problèmes. Prévenus la veille de notre arrivée concernant un problème de climatisation en pleine canicule, nous n'avions d'autre choix que d'annuler ou d'accepter une simple remise. Ayant des activités non annulables à proximité et plus aucune alternative hôtelière disponible dans les environs, nous avons dû maintenir notre réservation. À notre arrivée, nous avons découvert que d'autres désagréments n'avaient pas été anticipés : un bal des pompiers rendant le stationnement impossible à proximité, puis une intervention sur la climatisation durant toute la journée du lendemain, nous obligeant à quitter le parking de l'hôtel de manière anticipée — alors même que celui-ci est facturé au prix fort. C'est regrettable car l'établissement a du potentiel, mais le service client et le suivi des demandes laissent vraiment à désirer. Je ne peux malheureusement pas le recommander dans ces conditions. Point positif tout de même, le petit déjeuner est de qualité et varié.

On avait payé une chambre 1 lit double + 1 canapé lit (1 place) + 1 lit(1 place) soit 4 couchages. Au départ on a eu un petit problème car on nous a donné 3 couchages mais heureusement le lendemain le chef de la réception a vite arrangé le problème lorsqu'on lui en a parlé donc je salue son professionnalisme et le remercie sincèrement. Mis à part cela l'hote n'est pas si loin du centre à pied, ça se fait bien. La chambre était bien et pas trop petite. La literie excellente.

La situation de l'hôtel face à la Place du Vendée Globe offre une vue imprenable sur le port, en particulier depuis le rooftop où l'on peut profiter d'une belle piscine. Chambre impeccable, fonctionnelle, décor sobre et reposant. Le petit déjeuner buffet propose une grande variété de produits de qualité. L'accueil et le service sont à la hauteur du standing de l'établissement.
