Staying in the cage was considered as disgrace for the punished and as a warning for the others. Because of this reason, the punishment was often carried out during the fairs when the whole square was full of people. Bystanders usually treated the punished quite bad – calling names, spitting and throwing rotten vegetables or even stones was quite common. The most frequent inhabitants of the cage were women who appeared in the streets of Levoča after the lamps were lit, not accompanied by men.

"Booked last minute and on the day of my unplanned road trip. Lovely and friendly welcome despite arriving quite late. Hotel is the type of hotel I really like, oldie-waldy, very traditional service, reminded me of a British guest house in the 1960s, lots of period charm. "

"This is a superb property providing spectacular views, transportation to and from the property, great food, clean environment and much more!!"

"It was “okay” we found some children’s clothing under the couch so cleaning is probably not the best. The kitchen utensils were flimsy and not strong enough to do much with. The location is good. Not a lot of parking either, pool is available for 1 euro per room. "

"Viktig: hotellet er ikke hvor kartet peker i Tatranaká Lomnica, men i Žakovce! Om dette er viktig for deg, ikke velg dette hotellet. Når det er sagt er rommene fine og komfortable og eieren hyggelig. Man har kjøleskap og kokemuligheter. Velger man frokost får man plenty med mat. Spa er ikke inkludert i prisen men koster symbolsk pris og har enkel sauna og jacuzzi man får nyte for seg selv. Vi hatt nydelig tid her og kommer gjerne tilbake."

"Ok hotel in tiny vilage, area quiet but there is literally nothing nearby... All food, gas and supermarket needs Have to be gotten in Poprad 15 to 20 minutes drive away. Rooms super plain and spartan. Towels were not change daily, not sure why... Breakfast was average. Overall if You want to send a night in this area there are options in Poprad or in Strebske Pleso, there is No real reason to Look eksewhere... "

"Nice place to be, the park is great after a day full of attraction. Air condition did not work well, so it was hot in the room. Dinner is nice, I think it is better to go to a restaurant."
