We were in town for Alumni Weekend at Washington & Lee and were very pleased to find this loft. We felt like we were just close enough to town for it to not feel far, but just far enough away to have some peace and quiet. We really enjoyed meeting the horses and would return here next time we are in Lexington. Thanks for a great stay!
Our plans changed at the last minute and the host was very accommodating when my grad school son stayed with me instead of the dog. He was able to do his work in the loft remote with no issues. It is a small space - neat and tidy and had everything you might need tucked into cute furnishings. The farm animals were entertaining and the property was easy to find and close to attend events in town.
This was a beautiful, interesting place to stay. Quiet and gorgeous. Fun furniture and very cozy. I loved waking up to see the horses. It was super easy to get to VMI, maybe 10 minutes max.
Loved our time at this cozy studio conveniently located close to Lexington. We stayed while showing at the horse center. Studio is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need. Alice is accommodating and responsive. Added bonus that the studio is on a working horse farm with adorable animals to see.
What a lovely space. The king sized bed is extremely comfortable. Have enjoyed multiple stays here while transporting our horses. Only complaint is we couldn't have stayed longer.
This loft is amazing! I love the decor, and the bed sleeps great. Lots of little extras to make you feel at home. I was in town for a show at the Virginia Horse Center and didn't want to stay in one of the busy hotels. This space is about ten minutes away and I had a wonderful night's rest. Plus it is on a lovely horse farm. I def hope to stay here again!
Cute little apartment like place above a garage on a horse farm. It was exactly as described, nice and quiet, clean and had just what we needed, mostly a place to sleep (comfy bed to note). It did have some other thoughtful touches, snacks, coffee and fresh creamer, filtered water, small fridge. Host was very responsive and friendly. Definitely will stay there again!
The loft sits centered on a delightful ranch with horses, chickens, ducks, and a friendly dog. We enjoyed the vista of tall trees and rolling hills from right outside the front door. Inside were very clean, cozy lodgings- we enjoyed the king-sized bed. It made spending the weekend in natural bridge state park a blast and we never had any issues during our stay. I would recommend this spot for a couple or small family looking for something a bit more personal and cozy while staying in the mountains of Virginia.
This loft was very cozy and comfortable; it had everything we needed: a small fridge, drinking water, a comfortable couch and bed. We particularly appreciated that there were bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the bed. We both like to read until we go to sleep and so often there is only one (or no) reading light, no place to put eyeglasses / a glass of water. Communication was very easy and quick. And Alice gave great suggestions for dinner and breakfast places in town. Her directions and info about her place were also quite clear, making arrival and our stay very easy. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!
This is a very nice apartment close to downtown Lexington. I have friends in Charlottesville and Lexington has been a good place to meet since my family lives in Blacksburg. I will gladly stay again for 1-2 nights. I have a dog and the road was nice to walk on (not very busy). All of the following things were clear in the description and photos but I missed a low comfortable table to eat at or sit at to work on the computer and I missed a TV - I know that makes me old :) The walls are slanted. I am 5’ 5” tall and hit my head several times. When I stay longer in VRBOs, I like to be able to cook. Because this is a studio apartment, there is no stove or oven. I intend for these comments to be a clarification not a criticism. I am appreciative of reviews that help me decide if a particular rental is a good fit for me. This is important for both the renter and the owner. Alice was quick to communicate which I appreciate. This is a working horse farm. There are plenty of opportunities to pet horses’ noses.
This was a great property for our stay. Our son went for an overnight visit at VMI and this was perfect for our stay. The host was great and there was great communication.
The property was just as listed. It was very clean. The bed was soft and comfortable. The sofa that was available was also great. The Wi-Fi worked well.It was a very relaxing stay from me and my husbandBeing surrounded by mountains and the horses was very relaxing. Would love to stay here again.
