The cottage is nestled in a beautiful relaxing setting. Decor and extra amenities add such a special touch to your whole experience. Beautiful front porch and table was where we spent most of our time and of course short walk to the beautiful beach really topped it off. Beautiful sunrises and a fire every night gave us wonderful memories. Highly recommend this beautiful gem just minutes from Lexington Mich

What a perfect little spot!! We ran up for some family issues and were so glad we had this perfectly comfortable and cozy place to go back to and regroup. We never once turned on the TV, we lived on the porch. It was a two second walk to the water, it was amazing because it was on a dead end, so it was extremely quiet. The owner thought of everything, was extremely responsive and the beds and house were just so comfortable!! We adored our stay!!

My husband and I treated ourselves to a mini getaway before the holiday weekend and the Sandy Feet Retreat was the just the place we were looking for!
Jana was the perfect host and everything in the delightfully cozy cottage was labeled and well-organized. We had a blast rock hunting, exploring and reading on the beach. We would 1000% stay again! :)
P.S. Don't forget to paint a rock or two! :)

We were the first guests to stay here and it is a great place to book. Jana made us feel welcome from the beginning. She was a good communicator and has a charming attention to detail. The decor is homey and house was very clean with nice touches throughout like extra outlets and blankets. The cottage is a very short walk to the beach, convenient to watch the sunrise or to relax by the water. We highly recommend this place for a peaceful couples getaway or a small family beach vacation!

I can’t say enough about this place! The cottage was beautiful, all the furnishings were new and the cottage was very nicely decorated! So much attention to detail and every amenity you could think of, from extra bathroom supplies to firewood, and even a wagon for the beach! There was also paint to paint rocks collected at the beautiful beach! The house was immaculate and our host was lovely. She was welcoming and communication was excellent! The house was the perfect size for a girls weekend away and in a very nice area just down from the town. One of the best rentals I’ve stayed at. I will definitely be coming back!

Property manager was awesome and very attentive. Was looking for a calm, quiet, peaceful place that was next to the lake. This trip was a gift to myself. Traveling by myself, I felt extremely comfortable and safe. Loved the large porch with table, and the customized welcome sign next to the front door. As soon as I walked in, I lit up with excitement. Everything about the place was inviting and gave me that warm, at home feeling. Pictures posted are accurate and up to date. I would definitely love to escape to this little hideaway again. If you are like me and enjoy bon fires, they provided some wood, but it was wet from the rain. The gas stations sell bundles of firewood for a fairly low cost per bundle. Only disappointment was I forgot to leave my painted rocks behind to add to the collection...and that I didn't have more time to stay.

We decided last minute to take a weekend trip, and this cute home was available. The owner was very thoughtful, including having our names on a welcome sign, a bottle of wine for us available, candy and crafts for the kids, and supplies to paint rocks. The house is charmingly decorated. It is close to Lake Huron- you do need to walk to the end of the street and pass a few houses along the way to get to the private beach.
The bedrooms are small, but cute and adequate. There isn’t a lot of sound insulation between the rooms, but my kids are old enough that wasn’t much of a problem. It is a short drive into Lexington, where we spent a fair amount of time on the public beach, park, and pier. The town is very charming as well.
The home also has a nice yard and fire pit area perfect for hanging out at night.
The owner was great at communicating and passing along info.
Overall we had a great weekend!

The cottage is set back from the street, surrounded by trees, and backs up to a small ravine, so it is very quiet and peaceful. The covered front porch with a large table is a great place to enjoy meals and play games. And the beach is just a few houses down the street. The beach itself is large, secluded, and peaceful. While the beach is sandy, you do have to get over some rocks to get to the water, so water shoes are recommended. And a raft or two if you like floating on the waves. :)
The cottage itself is very neat, clean, and beautifully decorated. The posted pictures are current and accurate. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with some special treats like wine and candy. The bedrooms are cozy with comfortable mattresses and lots of pillows.
Lexington is always fun. Visit the little shops, especially the general store. In Port Huron, I’d recommend The Raven restaurant and Kate’s Downtown as well as a stop at the Fort Gratiot lighthouse.
All in all, it was one of the nicest cottages on Lake Huron that we’ve stayed at. Thank you for the relaxing time!
