"We had an overall very good experience at Hotel Bosque del Mar. When we arrived, we decided we really wanted an oceanfront room, and since we were visiting during low season, the staff was very accommodating and helped us upgrade later that day. The upgraded room was beautiful, clean, and directly facing the ocean, with a lovely outdoor bathtub that made it feel extra special.
The property itself is very peaceful, and the beach was definitely our favorite part. The sunsets here are absolutely gorgeous—we even had one evening where we could see a beautiful sunset and a rainbow at the same time. The beach was great for walking, and there were chairs available outside for hotel guests to relax and enjoy the view.
We also enjoyed the second-floor area with the pool table, where we spent some time playing, having drinks, and relaxing. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced, and we also enjoyed an appetizer from the bar. The staff throughout our stay was friendly and helpful.
Overall, it was a nice and relaxing stay, and we would recommend Hotel Bosque del Mar, especially if you are looking for a beachfront property where you can enjoy some truly beautiful Costa Rican sunsets."
