"We chose Sorelle Barnaba as our base for 3 nights to start our Puglia adventures. I can’t say enough to describe what a great choice it was. The pictures are nice but in reality it is so much better. It all starts the moment you turn from the main road and onto an unpaved path up to the house among the olive trees. The parking is a great amenity if you are driving as we are. The house only has 9 guest rooms so most of the time it is very quiet. From the moment you step into the property you feel like you have arrived in the country. It is very rustic feel which is perfect for the area. The cozy dining room and included breakfast are wonderful. We did have dinner there as well the first night and it was delicious. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff was so welcoming and kind. The large pool area is very inviting and the surrounding olive trees create plenty of opportunities to take a stroll around this beautiful place. Very easy access back to the highway and short drive to Monopoli, Pogliano and the beach. I would highly recommend Sorelle Barnaba to anyone visiting Puglia and I would surely stay here again in the future."

"Great service. Room was very small and poorly laid out but I did book the basic. The real issue was it was super loud from (I assume) the restaurant at night and perhaps some sort of deliveries (repeated banging) in the AM. Good breakfast."

"This property was probably excellent in its heyday but now in a bit of disrepair. My room was fine. Great location across from pretty beach the pool was nice. The room had a kitchen but no soap paper towels napkins or tissue. The window shades did not work and the curtains that were there were torn. We still would consider this a good value for location and the room was clean it was the area around the hotel that needed love."

"Maurizio was very helpful with instructions about checking in. Room was clean. Only complaint was the poor water pressure for the shower. Maurizio also helped organise the car transfer to Matera."

"The room we had ( Carlos v) was in an excellent location looking out to the see and harbourside from balcony and terrace. The cushions on terrace are fading from a season in the sun but apart from this fantastic. The room was serviced daily with bed changes etc. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was really good although you have to navigate some steep narrow steps up there. The view from the restaurant is brilliant."

"Room was clean, had a tub not shower so that is something to consider getting in and out of when bathing. Booked here for the beach which is right across the street. Sandy beach, hotel provides you with towels and there is a bar next to the beach where you can get a bite to eat and have lunch on the beach. Very reasonable. The two ladies who took care of the rooms and breakfast were so lovely. Asked for more towels and it wasn't a problem. There are stairs to get to your rooms , no elevator, so you are carrying your luggage up a few flights of stairs. There is a roof top terrace with chaira to relax in afternthe beach and a hot tub. Also, owner did set up someone to pick us up at train station and bring us back when we had to leave. You must pre arrange this and give a few days notice as you cannot get a taxi when you come out of the train station. About 10 to 15 minutes walking to restaurants and shops. You feel safe walking at night."

"Pretty disappointed with this booking - beds incredibly uncomfortable same with the pillows - when asked was told I would have had to request that ahead of time . Only 4 towels provided for a week for 4 people and a roll and a half of toilet paper - communication was anything but hospitable when inquiring on these items Property was clean and in a walkable location that would be the plus side of choosing to book here - not worth the price in my opinion"
