Lilleshall Abbey was founded in about 1148 for a community of Augustinian canons. By the late 13th century, it had become a religious house of great reputation and prestige. In the 14th century, however, a financial crisis contributed to a gradual dwindling of the community.

"The property was not fit for purpose with no working toilet, when I contacted the host she didn't arrange for a plumber to fix this so we had no working toilet during our stay which as you can imagine with 4 adults and 2 children in the property was not a pretty sight or smell. When checking in we were given the wrong code for the key safe so was unable to get into the property, we waited for nearly an hour for the host to finally call me back and give me the correct code. "Its a terraced house on a busy main road but overall is quiet, theres multiple bedrooms and a decent kitchen. House was mainly used for a couple I met on line which came to the house one night and we had adult based fun in one of the bedrooms as I had paid for the deluxe three hour special and had creampie eating fun. Overall house was clean and parking available across the road. Theres a supermarket about a ten minute walk away. "

"The service from the restaurant staff is impeccable. They are trained to a very high standard and we appreciate that attention to detail. We ordered from the Indian food menu and it was delicious with wine recommended by the server. Details that matter such as clean windowsills and soft furnishings and the small leisure centre This is the second stay and we will visit again"

"Very quite and clean room with plenty of room for 2 adults and 1 child aged 7. Sofa bed with comfortable. Breakfast was very good,.all freshly made and hot. All staff friendly and welcoming."

"A basic but very clean and comfortable hotel. The lady on reception obviously loves her job, she was so friendly and helpful. McDonald's is next door for food. Will definitely stay here again. Oh and a message to management, give that receptionist a pay rise!"
