"This is a beautifully and tastefully restored vintage property. The hosts are welcoming and multilingual. I highly recommend it. My only minor complaint was that I found it impossible to turn off the air conditioning at night - I don't like to sleep with AC. My solution was to pull out the room card from the power control and turn off the electricity for the room, but that meant we couldn't charge our phones. But that's minor, and I'm sure that if we'd said something the management would have...

"OVERALL: One of the most unique and memorable places I've ever stayed in the world. PROS: Unique design, and each room is different. Comfortable. Great service with friendly, helpful staff. "I went for a Baha'i pilgrimage and this place was prime location as well as affordable. Views off the Shrine of the Bab from the windows with city views. I was anxious about using Whats app and a room overseas and as soon as I landed and connected to wifi I already had texts reaching out and giving instructions for self check in. Other reviews state its in a bad neighborhood but I walked all over Haifa for two weeks almost. Even the "nice" areas, just walk three minutes in any direction and it'll be the same as anywhere else or where this guest house is. Prestein white walls and tiles and a walk in rain fall shower head were all great. If you want somewhere clean, close to everything, no frills, and affordable. Maya Guest House is your place. "
