"My wife and I stay at VRBO or similar whenever we travel. I would rate this stay at the top. The home was gorgeous and the location was great. The home was spacious with a large kitchen and dining area. The living room was more than sufficient to meet our needs, and the master bedroom/master bath was awesome. The home was very clean and well kept.We watched the horses and the deer through the many picture windows on the main level of the home. I took a walk through the mini trail system on the east side of the property. I can only imagine the view if we had arrived a mere two weeks later than we did to see the color change for Autumn.Barbara, our host, was quick to reply to my messages, and the check-in/check-out process was effortless. Thanks to Barbara for a wonderful stay for our anniversary weekend."

"Green Gables was an excellent choice for us. We were in town to bike the Root River State Trail. They have a nice bike storage shed where you can charge your bikes and secure them to a bike rack inside the shed. It’s on the edge of town so it’s quiet and peaceful. Our room had a view of the river. It was very clean and roomy. The owner was very friendly and helpful, but forgot to tell us that our room code also got us into the lobby/lounge. Breakfast in the morning had limited choices. It’s truly a continental breakfast. However, it’s convenient if you want to get riding in the morning because most local restaurants don’t open until 10:00 or 11:00. Keurig coffee was a bonus! We enjoyed our stay."

"10/10 would stay again, such a charming house with modern amenities, it’s like if Laura Ingels-Wilder had a tv and a recliner. very comfortable, very quiet, close to our kayaking river float. we enjoyed seeing all the wildlife from the windows and deck of the property. Tony had thought of everything in terms of kitchen supplies, I packed over-prepared. I’d recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area"

"The property was breathtaking, so beautiful. The interior was comfortable and cozy. Games and puzzles galore. Thoroughly enjoyable. We did notice a gathering of insects in the tub room on the floor in the corner and walking around other rooms. Some movement can be heard from the upstairs."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rustic Valley B&BThe host Yvette, we learned has a Hospitality background and it sure does show!Great conversations with the host and a very easy check-in process.Not only was breakfast delicious, but the lower level was also stocked with everything a traveler could think of. Very comfortable, quiet and cozy!Unfortunately, mother nature dumped 8 inches of rain, so we were not able to enjoy the grounds along the root river!We do plan to stay again, one bonus - at this time, there is no 2 night minimum requirement, so you can stay overnight if you'd like! Thanks again for the exceptional stay - Todd and Connie"
