Accueil indigne du lieu

Nous arrivons à 16h40h (sachant que nous pouvions prendre la chambre dès 14h30). Réception fermée avec mot demandant de se référer au mail reçu la veille. Sur le mail il est noté le code de porte pour entrer, et qu'une enveloppe à notre nom contenant la clef de la chambre nous attend sur le desk de l'accueil. A 16h40, une fois à l'intérieur nous constatons qu'il n'y a pas d'enveloppe à notre nom. En cas de problème un numéro de téléphone est indiqué, nous essayons donc d'appeler une 10aine de fois au cours de l'heure qui s'écoule, et pendant laquelle nous attendons dans le hall, toujours sans réponse (pas de répondeur possible). Finalement à 17h45, le patron descend l'escalier et nous demande ce qu'il peut faire pour nous. Nous lui indiquons que nous avons attendu dans le hall depuis plus d'une heure en essayant d'appeler le numéro "d'urgence". Il nous indique que la réception est fermée (sans blagues....), qu'il dormait et que donc il était inutile d'essayer d'appeler... Sans nous présenter aucunes excuses. A ce moment il nous dit qu'il est malade, qu'avec l'organisation en lien avec la COVID c'est compliqué (il ne porte pas de masque....) Il justifie l'absence d'une enveloppe à notre nom, par une erreur de son employée. Il finit par s'en aller en nous tournant le dos, quand nous lui disons que la moindre des chose serait un mot d'excuse de sa part. Chambre très bien mais chasse défectueuse et un martelement régulier viendra troubler notre sommeil.

Le sejour de dernière minute était pour notre nuit de noce trés tranquille pour sortir de la vie familliale, nous sommes arrivé vers 4 heures du matin , l'accueil et les formalités ont été faites avant avec code d'entrée etc ....parfait et en plus vu que nous étions les mariés nous avons eu droit à une super chambre ! un trés gentil geste que nous avons vraiment apprécié , merci beaucoup à la direction .

Weekend+ in Limoux

I like "Grand" hotels in french villages. I think this is an excellent example. If you crave for hotels that all new and with cookie cutter rooms, this is not for you. This is an older building with a lot of charm, big lime stone staircase, turn of (last) century layout, etc.

unfortunately for 125 euro's a night, I am being generous as classing this hotel as average. the hotel was nice and clean however the Madame who operates the hotel is purposefully rude and obnoxious. the showever was also nothing more than a rubber hose connected to the bath tap. For the (almost Mayfair) price, there is a lot to be desired here. some positives are the central location and the hotel was generally clean and tidy.

Lots of character, but difficult for motorists

The hotel is in the old part of limoux, and a bit tricky to find. There is also a regular market which sets up aroundthe hotel, meaning that there is no parking adjacent tothe hotel on those days. Nice old building with lots of character though, and a very nice courtyard restaurant.
