Great view but small apartment
The whole place needs updating. 3 switches in the hallway don’t work or at least we could not figure out what they were for. The place is very small, constantly bumping into tables or corners or people! The way the front doors are set up are annoying. When neighbors leave in the early am in room 1 you can hear them loudly walking down stairs or up stairs at any time. The view is great but, inside the place is super cold. The thermostat is very confusing to use and doesn’t put out enough heat. Had to use blankets on blankets to keep warm. The parking situation is quite small and annoying to turn around in the very small driveway/road. The bathroom is super small with the floor board heater half rusted away. Looks like a tetanus shot will be needed if you accidentally get scratched by it as it’s halfway rusted away. They do have a fire pit in the living room, but did not come with any wood for it and had it blocked off like they did not want us using it. The power went out for about 3 seconds first night we stayed there because of high winds. Honestly the photos they have in the post are very deceiving.

Taj mahal? No. Affordable, comfortable vintage and views galore.
Reviews are mixed on this place. I can see why if you have expectations of luxury modern amenities. This majestic century old building has little to offer when it comes to modern luxury. You can certainly find that else where for triple the price. Our stay was everything we needed this weekend, views, sunsets golf and relaxingocean noise. We loved every minute soaking the spectacular Oregon coast line from the convenient location. Staying in the large #2 suite was great. The furniture has cabin vibes with lots of wood treated walls and giant windows facing the great Pacific plus a fireplace. The kitchen had a new glass top electric stove oven combo and most of the stuff to cook meals with. King size bed was comfortable enough. Could use a mattress topper but after 20k steps in a day and a glass of wine just fall asleep, you'll be fine.

Beautiful view, cozy rustic feel
As advertised. We enjoyed our stay and the view is magnificent. We would book this again since the price was reasonable. Our only issue was that the sofa bed was broken and we couldn't find any e tra blankets or sheets for the living room sofa bed... (to use the couch/sofa bed as an extra sleeping area)

Great place
We had a wonderful weekend at this place. There were a few things that would of been better like more blankets in the unit for us to find. The fireplace was awesome for our night in annd the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. The best thing about this place is the view. It was storming the entire weekend but the view from the dining room and living room was absolutely breathtaking.

Relaxing weekend
I felt like I was borrowing a friends condo for the weekend. It is tucked back in a nice neighborhood. There was a great view from the living and dining room. Waking up and drinking coffee (pot / coffee provided) at the dining room table watching the waves was what I was looking for in a relaxing weekend. The girls went down and played in the waves multiple times. We took a nice walk on the beach with the dogs. We spent time to go school clothes shopping at the outlet mall and then bargain shopping at the big goodwill and "antique" shops. One dinner at Mo's and the next night we made nachos in the air fryer (provided). Played cards at the dining table and got the girls off their devices! Overall the weekend was what I was looking for! Thank you.

Need of repairs
The house was comfortable enough but in need of repairs. For how much it cost I expected it to be better. The view was great, but the main window was dirty. A simple spray of a hose would have helped. The fire alarm went off when we tried to cook bacon even though I had the fan on. In the afternoon the main living space got too warm because of the direct sunlight, even though it was not over 70 degrees when we were there. The walk to the beach took about 10 min but it was on a steep road that did not have any sidewalks, so it was hazardous to walk down especially with little children. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. The beds were comfortable. The manager brought us supplies quickly and was super responsive.

Comfortable work in progress
My friends and I spent several days enjoying the view. Pretty much everything we needed was provided. When we needed more supplies, they arrived quickly. This is obviously an older establishment that needs some work. Nothing that would deter from the visit though. The owner is in the process of updating the building so we will be back to check out how things are going.

The house sat next to a warning sign due to land degridation. It was in safe.
The cupboards didn't open easily due to the slant of the house. The slant was in settling. The electricity to the house was arching outside. It felt very unsafe.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here in Lincoln City. Our room/condo was located on a bluff overlooking the beach.. It was breathtaking. The interior was rustic but served our needs while we vacationed with our dog for the week. Again you can’t beat the location and the neighborhood . The Armstrong’s

View was awesome
The view was awesome. We had some small malfunctions as there were no towels when we arrived, and two lamps were broken. There was no trash receptacle outside (dumpster in the back was locked) but the neighbor across the street was happy to offer hers when she saw us cleaning up after our golden retrievers. Close to the beach and to town, a great view from the dining area, living room and even the master bedroom. Furniture was old but comfortable. And we were happy to find this property was dog friendly. I’m an artist and enjoyed painting from the dining room view.

Not Impressed
This “boutique vintage” suite is old. Only 1 window that opens in dining room and family room. Windows only open about 4 inches. No screens. Ceiling fan is loud and wobbly. Beds are hard. No deck or place to sit outside and enjoy the view. Walls are thin. Have to drive to beach. Have stayed in lots of rentals on the Oregon Coast over the years and this was the least favorite. Not worth the cost.

View from living/dining area is fabulous!
Very comfortable beds, kitchen had all the tools we needed (minus food of course). Suggestion? Owner needs to add screens to all windows, so they can be opened for fresh air without bugs coming in. At this point no screens! No AC, and home gets quite warm on sunny days. Walk to beach not too far but bit sketchy down a road with poor shoulders... Check in time was later than advertised so we waited a bit. but new management was helpful once we got in. With a few added touches (screens) would stay here again!

Like if your great-aunt lived in a fraternity house
The Hideaway Motel was advertised as being pet friendly, on a quiet street, having fantastic ocean views, and 2 bedrooms (1 with a king.) It sounded ideal for my family. There were no reviews on VRBO at the time, so I thought I’d take a chance. After staying in Unit 2, I can confirm all of those amenities are correct. I knew it was an older building in a harsh coastal environment, so things like non-level floors, dated cabinetry, a musty smell, and low water pressure, while undesirable, were not a shock. The overall feel was somewhere between a fraternity house and the bungalow of an elderly relative who has several pets and last decorated during the Reagan administration. It was the other little (mostly preventable) annoyances that added up to a regrettable experience: the faint but distinct smell of vomit in the corner of a bedroom. No shampoo or bar soap provided (strangely, only dishwashing detergent was in the bathroom.) No sugar for the coffee. No potholders for the oven. The well-worn chairs that sank down to within inches of the floor. The wifi that kept cutting out. Even the best things about it were compromised. The ocean view was through dirty windows, and occupants over 5’11” when standing will find their view obstructed by a valance at the top of the window. The beach access was via a steep street with no shoulder and some traffic. If you’re not able bodied, you’re going to want to drive rather than walk the quarter mile. The motel’s free parking was always available, but it was parallel parking and sometimes difficult to turn around. Woe be to the guest with a full size truck. I give it 2 stars because as far as dog friendly places go, it could have been worse, and when my dog was barking, I received a courteous email from the proprietor. The location was pretty good too - the upper units are on a street lined with much nicer homes. It is near the beach and also in the middle of Lincoln City, which can get backed up with traffic in the summer. I was glad I didn’t have to traverse the entire town when going out. Bottom line: The shabby Hideaway Motel didn’t ruin my vacation, but it sure didn’t enhance it either. I would stay elsewhere.

Nice view but...
First, we had no idea this place was called the Hide-Away Motel. I thought it was a home. It was as clean as it can get, but it was pretty old and very smelly inside. The carpet was smelly, stained, and old. The furniture looked pretty rough and again smelled awful. Karina cleaned it as best as the place could be cleaned. The pictures we saw were of the property but it didn't seem so old. The bathroom sink was not working so we had to use the kitchen sink. The walking path is no longer available because of a condemned home nearby. We had to drive to the beach which was not what we understood from the listing. The place looked old but it was a roof over our heads. It was pretty costly for the way it looked. Karina was awesome and always available to answer questions. Do I recommend you stay at this place?... Sure the views are amazing. You can see so much beach action from the kitchen and living room windows. However, if you are picky and posh, then this place may not be the place for you.
