How to Get There
Driving from Boston, MA, to Lincoln, NH, is a scenic journey that takes you through some of New England's picturesque landscapes. Here's a straightforward route you can follow:
1. Starting in Boston: Begin your journey from downtown Boston. Merge onto I-93 N from your starting point in the city, following signs for Concord, NH.
2. Continue on I-93 N: Stay on I-93 N, passing through the northern suburbs of Boston, and continue into New Hampshire. This highway will take you through Manchester, NH, and up towards Concord, NH.
3. Pass Concord: As you pass Concord, continue to follow I-93 N. You'll be heading into the more rural and scenic parts of New Hampshire, including the Lakes Region.
4. Enter the White Mountains: I-93 N will take you directly into the White Mountains region of New Hampshire. Enjoy the views as the highway cuts through Franconia Notch State Park, which is a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes.
5. Arrive in Lincoln: After passing through the Franconia Notch area, you'll soon reach the exit for Lincoln, NH. The exit for Lincoln is well-marked, and you'll want to take Exit 32 for NH-112 E toward North Woodstock/Lincoln.
6. Into Lincoln: Once you exit, turn right onto NH-112 E (also known as the Kancamagus Highway). Lincoln will be just a short drive ahead.
The entire trip is approximately 130 miles and typically takes around 2 hours and 15 minutes, depending on traffic and weather conditions. It's always a good idea to check the traffic and weather reports before you head out, especially during the winter months, as conditions in the White Mountains can change rapidly. Safe travels!
