"Staff friendly. check in smooth and quick. Clean quiet room Shower was hot, but not enclosed properly, water leaked out when showering. On the whole good. If I flew from Stansted, would book again, Directions not clear to get there from the airport"

"The breakfast was very nice and the main dining hall was magnificent. The room itself could’ve been better. The textured wallpaper had dust clinging to it. It was concerning to find that the bed didn’t have a mattress protector under the sheet. The carpet was worn. The tiles in the bathroom were very municipal."

"Very clean hotel. Stayed there for a conference although the majority of guests are on airport transit from Stansted airport. Including breakfast at the price I paid would have been nicer"

"high cost performance"

"No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. Chair provided also had food remains, hair and dust from previous guests. Bed matress should have been retired many ,many guests ago. Springs digging in and undulating as lay. "Fabulous manor with great character and lovely grounds. Pond with fountain. Close to Hatfield Forest Park. Great trails to walk."

"Immaculate room and very spacious with comfy big arm chairs. Bathroom was spotless too and shower lovely and roomy. Breakfast and dinners were delicious!! The pancakes came with loads of yummy bacon and plenty maple syrup! The fish and chips were plentiful, steak pie was hearty and filling! Will be back!"

"Loved this place so much. It seems to be a local hangout which was fantastic. It’s on a busy street, so expect some noise, but other than that was fantastic. Already planning my next trip back!"

"The breakfast is amazing. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. The host which is the owner are very kind and helpful. I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended."
