Huddersfield Narrow Canal The recently restored Huddersfield Narrow Canal, in the bottom of the Colne Valley between Linthwaite and Wellhouse. The photograph is taken from the canal bridge on the lane linking the two villages, and is looking down the valley towards Huddersfield.
Lock No 15E, Huddersfield Narrow Canal According to one source, the bridge is called Scarwood Bridge; another has it as Appleyard Bridge. It carries a footpath which is part of the Colne Valley Circular Walk. The lock seems to be called Golcar Brook Lock, which makes sense, as the eponymous brook enters the canal here on the right hand side.
Lock No 16E, Huddersfield Narrow Canal The name of this lock is Wearwood Lower Lock; the bridge carries the very minor Ramsden Mill Lane.

Good location, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Walls a bit thin and must have jad a air conditioning unit outside the bedroom window as could hear a bit of noise from that all night, but not overbearing loud.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the shower and bathroom facilities were exceptional. The only minor negative was that I could hear the building's air-con/heating system all night which was very loud. I did not mention it as I was only staying for one night
