Located just a few minutes from Bairro Alto, Chiado, and Cais do Sodré, this stunning first-floor apartment accommodates up to 4 people with comfort and distinction. Renovated in 2017, our Architectural Gem in Bica boasts a gorgeous interior design with careful attention to detail. Modern comforts like complimentary Wi-Fi and air conditioning in every room ensure your stay is as delightful as it is memorable.

The Space

Step into a tranquil blend of light tones, wooden floors, and the rustic charm of natural stone walls. The apartment features two inviting bedrooms and two well-fitted bathrooms, ensuring ample space for relaxation and privacy. Its fully equipped kitchen stands ready for your culinary adventures, while the spacious living room, bathed in light from its large windows, invites relaxed conversations and moments of reflection. A tastefully appointed dining area completes the perfect scenery.

The Neighborhood

Bica's traditional ambiance harmoniously blends with modern undertones. Every corner preserves the city's romantic spirit, transitioning from tranquility to vibrancy in mere moments. With Bairro Alto, Chiado, and Baixa right on your doorstep, exploring becomes an absolute delight. A special recommendation is the Mercado da Ribeira - TimeOut market, where an array of gastronomic wonders awaits.


Please note: A new restaurant has recently opened on the building's ground floor. Guests in our first-floor apartment may occasionally perceive some noise from the establishment below.

We loved this Vrbo. It was perfect for 4 moms traveling. We loved having the two bedroom/bath combo with large mirror in the main area for getting ready. The beds were comfy, the place was very clean and we loved the location. It was so nice to be able to walk to so many fun and lovely eating establishments. Time Out Market was so close. Just be prepared for steep steps for carrying luggage. Can’t wait to go back!

First Visit To Portugal

This was our first visit to Portugal and we wanted to experience old town Lisbon. The location of the apartment was perfect. Close to everything. The check in process was smooth. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

The apartment was truly a gem!! The location couldn't be better for us, with fantastic restaurants just steps away. The place was spotless, very well maintained and communication with the host was excellent throughout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stress-free and enjoyable stay!!

Great location to visit Lisboa

The condo is very well located, walking distance from all major sites. Unit is spacious and convenient with 2 bathrooms. Pictures are a good representation. The only downside is that there are a few bars and restaurants at the base of the property. This means the noise can go on until late at night.

Perfect spot!

The location is great! So close to all the action but removed enough that it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The apartment looks just as pictured, super clean and has ac in all rooms. Beds were comfy and the showers were great! The check in process was super smooth. They were super communicative and met us when we arrived. He even made note of something to get fixed so he knew it wasn’t our error. One thing to note: The apartment is located at the top of steep stairs, was fine for us but my parents are super mobile. Other than that it was perfect! Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Lisboa!

Lisbon

We had an issue with water leak from the ceiling due to construction in the apartment above us. The management company took care of us, relocated us in a different apartment for the night, and then another apartment the next day. They are very professional, honest, and fair. They even refunded 15% of our booking fee, which is very appropriate. Michael, the manager was with us step-by-step and made sure that everything is taken care of in a timely manner. The company is very well run, honest and fair. Thanks again.

Location, location, location

We thoroughly enjoyed Lisbon & our Gem accomodation. It was comfortable & well equipped with all the necessities, within walking distance of all the wonderful sights, restaurants, great cafes & viewpoints of the city. We would definitely book with them again.

Great location

We had a great stay at this apartment! The location was awesome- about 5 mins walk to Time out market and downstairs there’s a ton of restaurants, bars and cafés. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs so you can hear the music from there but you can only hear it in the living room. The AC and fans in the bedrooms drown out any noise from downstairs. For check in you do have to select a 30 min time slot to meet someone at the apartment. The apartment was beautiful and for sure had enough space for us! It does look exactly like the pictures! I would stay here again!

Nice Place

Location is great - restaurants, shops and The Time-Out Market easily walkable. Mgmt was very attentive and helpful. Bruno was very friendly and helpful. Shower in second bathroom was broken and unable to be fixed during our stay due to a national holiday. Surprising that the previous guests and/or cleaning staff didn't discover this before our stay. Hopefully it was fixed after we left. Remote for A/C needs new batteries. Also, back bedroom window looks into an elevator shaft-like space where birds fly/live. The loud chirping begins early every morning and echos loudly.

Cool apartment in great location

The apartment was just as advertised and located in a great location - away from the tourist areas but close enough to walk everywhere. The check in was perfect and Bruno made it all very smooth. Lots of good local restaurants and bars. We'll definitely be back.

Komplett ausgestattetes Appartment, modern und neu renoviert, im Bica Viertel, die Kommunikation war unkompliziert und wir hatten immer einen erreichbaren Ansprechpartner. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Property was switched

This property had a water pipe break 4 days before we were to arrive. The management company "Gem Accommodations" never notified us of this problem. We were met at the airport with our pre arranged driver who brought us to an unknown area where we met the representative of the management company. He informed us there was good news and bad news.. Bad news was the apartment we had rented four months earlier wasn't available. They offered a refund or this apartment, (good news?) at 7:30 pm, taxi driver gone, in a location we had no idea where we were we felt we had NO Choice but to take this apartment. Terrible location, miles from the historic area, we needed to take metro each way to get to the area we had researched . If we had been notified when the pipe burst 4 days earlier we could have chosen a much better location . We also had problems with the apartment they chose to put us in. Windows had lost their seal ,always cloudy couldn't see out , and when it rain the windows leaked making couch very wet. Unit was on 7th floor ,top floor, attic of building. We had problems with the elevator on three different times. We expected a reduction in the amount we paid,as this apartment was in a bad location. I also can't believe this apartment in this location would rent at the same price as the historic/ river area. We had researched the area we wanted to be in, this wasn't even close to that area. We only had three days to enjoy Lisbon and the location of this apartment made that difficult. It diffidently tainted our visit in Lisbon.

Modern, clean and close to everything!

My husband and I and another couple stayed here from September 19th thru the 22nd for the first leg of our trip to Portugal and Morocco. This was by far the most comfortable and convenient apartment that we had on our trip. Bruno and his staff were easy to get ahold of and to communicate with. It was so nice to have a washing machine to clean our clothes before leaving as we packed lightly for a 2 week trip. We got our bearings on the city of Lisbon pretty quickly and loved being able to walk about anywhere from the apartment. My husband and I enjoyed the exercise of hiking up the hill of beautiful Lisboa and seeing so much history at every corner. The apartment is next door to the fabulous Social B where we met our favorite bartender every night for a night cap. If we ever make it back we would definitely stay again! Cathleen Zoss

Perfect Apartment for 2 couples

We had a fantastic stay at Barrio Alto to end a 3 week trip to Europe. Perfect place to relax and explore Lisbon. The apartment has character and is well appointed. Bruno did an excellent job checking us in and answering additional questions during our stay. I will give you an advisory, the neighborhood is busy and loud. The street has trolley and bus traffic, and there is a large amount of long term construction going on. This will not bother your sleeping, however; because the 2 bedrooms seem to be soundproof. Our only regret is that we could not stay for another week.

Perfect Apartment
