Very good stay all round

Cosy, nicely decorated. Well equipped (e.g. dishwasher, washing machine). Quiet location, but still very close to the sights of Alfama. Be aware of the steep stairs from street level up to apartment itself.

The apartment is perfectly situated in Alfama close to so many sites. Antonio is super sweet and gave us coveted restaurant tips that ensured we had fantastic meals every day. Highly recommend!

Very nice!

This apt is a great location for touring Lisbon. We walked everywhere, great restaurants nearby along with some Mercados. The apt has 2 bedrooms which is great for traveling with friends. It has a nice sofa, nicely furnished and clean

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very well situated to enjoy the old city and it’s many attractions. It is located in a busy, but traffic-controlled, area which limits the street noise to pedestrian traffic. Plenty of restaurants, bakeries and food vendors close by and the apartment is well equipped for preparing light meals. The host and local contact were very punctual and helpful in providing information getting us settled. We would gladly stay here again.

Great location!

Loved location in Lisbon. Lots of restaurants and ground transportation available. Challenges are 21 narrow steps up to apartment and very slick shower. Also bed 2 hard. This is more for education than anything. Overall really enjoyed this stay.

Authentic Lisbon

My friend and I loved this little place. Tucked behind the road, we escaped the street noise, but it was still bright. It's on the second floor, up some antique stairs. We were fine, but not for everyone. The bedrooms were spacious enough, and although not huge, the living space was certainly all we needed. Great value for the price. A well equipped kitchen, linens, closet space etc... The overall location was fabulous. We could walk a few feet and be at half a dozen restaurants. The old town is the place to be.

Alfama

The apartment met our expectations and was right in the heart of Alfama. However, we found the area itself difficult to navigate even using Google Maps. Be sure to plan your days in advance with lots of time to make it to your planned destinations! Isobel, acting for the owners, made a point of meeting us to let us in earlier than the dsignated check in which was wondeful. She was very responsive to any questions we had. Thank you!

Enjoyed the apartment

The apartment was nice and clean. At that point of our journey, we were glad to have access to a washing machine. Just a note, it took 2 days for our clothes to dry in the apartment. We did not hang them outside. That is not a complaint, just an observation. Another observation is the stairs were difficult for us to climb. On the plus side, the apartment was in a good location for what we wanted to do. As noted before, it was nice, clean, and spacious. Overall, we were pleased with everything.

Right in the middle of things

Great location in the old part of the city. Easy walk to many sites such as Rossio Square train station, hop on hop off bus, tons of restaurants. Quiet at night for sleeping except for garbage pickup in the middle of the night every night that we were there. Beds were comfortable. They provided a nice binder with much info about the city and the apartment which was helpful. Waited 45 minutes to check in because Carlotta had three checkins at the same time - not her fault. The building is very very old and unit very very small. Stairs up are very steep and narrow - we are in our seventies and managed by exercising a lot of caution. Half-sized fridge, tiny bathroom with rusty shelves, shower floor is slippery so should have a rubber mat on the floor, kitchen small but everything functional for breakfast only, otherwise we ate out. Carlotta was extremely prompt and helpful when we had questions.

Authentic Portuguese Experience

We greatly enjoyed this flat. It was easy to feel enveloped in the Portuguese culture due to the neat and authentic accommodations that are located near plenty of Portuguese shops and tourism. The hosts’ communication was excellent and they answered all our questions graciously and promptly. This stay was a great find and we would gladly book again!

The place was clean and extremely well located in the old historic town. As it is in the old town, the apartment was dated with steep staircase, small kitchen and living room area and tiny bathroom. More than sufficient for 2 people but the main living space is cramped for any more. There was no air conditioning and fans were ok for the October weather. Host communication was excellent and we appreciated the recommendations for location eateries.
