"the hotel was clean and tidy, plenty of parking. Breakfast was good + fresh bean coffee. Small issue with one window not opening and the AC was out of action with an error code, didn't raise at the time due to late evening"

"I’ve stayed at The Essex Golf & Country Club several times before and have always had a pleasant experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. Unfortunately, the room did not meet the usual standards I’ve come to expect. The bed hadn’t been made properly, which immediately gave a poor first impression, and the bath drain was extremely slow, making it frustrating to use. It’s a shame because I’ve enjoyed my previous stays here, but this time the lack of attention to detail really let things down. I hope this was just a one-off, as I would like to return in the future, but improvements definitely need to be made to maintain the quality guests expect"
