Home from Home - Cosy Cottage in Whale Watching Country
8/10 Good
"The host Diane is amazing and her apple pie was delicious. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was comfortable and clean but there needs to be a ALOT of weed eating done. The TV is to small for the space and has limited channels. Although it is a smart TV, Peter (the owner) has it password protected so no other apps can be downloaded. Netflix was available. Although the listing states it has a view, if the trees get any bigger there wont be. The location suited us because we were on our motorcycle touring the area and was close to the islands. Its a little bit of a drive to town for supplies and dinner out. BEWARE of the instructions where you turn into Tommy's Branch Rd. There is a tiny sign on a tree which is after the big road sign. We had a great stay but if we ever return we would choose somewhere closer to Digby."
INCREDIBLE ocean cliff views at your doorstep on very private acreage + parking.
10/10 Excellent
"This was one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve had. The hosts were incredibly responsive, accommodating, and genuinely helpful from beginning to end.The oceanfront home was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely spectacular and became a highlight of our stay.Every detail had been carefully considered. The home was exceptionally well organized and intentionally stocked with everything we could possibly need. From the kitchen to the little extras that make a stay feel effortless, nothing was overlooked. We truly wanted for nothing. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-appointed oceanfront getaway in an incredibly beautiful area of Nova Scotia with outstanding hosts, we would highly recommend this property. The people all around were so friendly. We would happily stay here again."
"Having a whole trailer was like having an executive suite. I really enjoyed the fireplace. I didn’t make it down to the river because I twisted my knee but it looks really pretty. When I accidentally overpowered the electrical he came and reset it and explained about it. The unit has a cosy bedroom and the two sofas in the living room made into beds. Parking was great. Directions were clear and concise.
I recommend this."
