Highly recommend especially if you are looking to stay near the outdoor ski slope as it’s just across the road, Gloucester quays/town centre just a short drive away. "

The restaurant for both dinner and breakfast is excellent with both the food and service being just that If I had one small grippe and I know it’s difficult but the possibility of having a light duvet wouldn’t go amiss. I tend to use a 4.5 tog duvet all year round and the duvet in rooms is heavy and I get too warm but mot enough to throw the duvet off"

We were upgraded to a deluxe double room which was tastefully furnished , quiet and comfortable.The building is very interesting and conveniently located in the town. We enjoyed our meals and the ambience of the dining area. Our slight worry was that we might not be able to park when we went out for the day."

"Stayed 1 night at the Royal Hotel. Very convenient location just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Ross on Wye. Lovely hotel with easy check in. We had a spacious double room which was clean and had all the amenities you needed. The staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Nice bar area and the food is very good( superb breakfast) Highly recommend this hotel. "
