"This home is newly remodeled. The furniture is nice and comfortable and the home is situated on a rural cul de sac. There are neighbors but they aren't close enough to interrupt your solitude. We saw lots of wild life from the back window which was fun. This home is not in town, so if you want to go into Wiscasset you will want to drive.That all being said, here are some concerns. The communication with this host wasn't great. I booked through VRBO but they required me to use Vcasa platform to communicate, which I'm not familiar with. Whenever I reached out to communicate, it took a long time to hear back. The power went out several times during our stay and even though I don't think this was the fault of the host, they pushed everything off on us as the guest to figure out and solve the problem. The water pressure in this house is terrible. If multiple faucets are running at once then you're toast. "

"The captain’s house is on a beautiful street full of stately old homes and just a 10 minute walk across the bridge to Damariscotta. The house is roomy and comfortable and has a gorgeous front porch where you can sit and watch the people passing by and look out over the river. We love it there. This is our fourth stay."

"If you want a fun glamping experience on a boat, I can't recommend Mazu enough! The location is fantastic, with live music close by and fresh lobster just steps away. The harbor offers a classic Maine vibe—truly a quintessential Maine experience! While Mazu is a bit older, it was comfortable and clean, making it ideal for our two-night stay. I can't wait for a longer visit next time! Thanks for a wonderful stay!"

"Trails End is beautiful outside and in. The house is thoughtfully arranged and perfectly suited our multigenerational family's needs, with a first floor bed and full bath, well-appointed kitchen, and a layout that allowed for gathering and space. The house and pool are clean and the owner's expectations are clear. We immediatley felt at home and were inspired to care for the house and grounds as we could tell others before us had done. And we loved the quiet, the birds, and the hassle-free access to the river and easy hiking trails, lovely walks and fields, the pool, and of course the surrounding towns. Thank you for a dream week. "
