The first room we were in (the Van Damme)was so-so and had a malfunctioning toilet. Then we were moved to the Captain’s Watch, which was excellent—-spacious with great views. Katie was especially helpful and welcoming.

We loved our stayed here sadly we only stayed one night plan to return. We picked the garden cottage was lovely was able to see the moon at night from our bed. Our Vizsla also had a great time and felt welcome with her own personal welcome amenity. The cottage was away from other ones so it made our stay more private.

My second time here. Both times, the staff is so helpful and super nice. The cottage is cozy and has everything one needs. Great location and nice view from the rose cottage. Near the town maybe 10 minutes and also close to fort Bragg . Thank you!

Really lovely property - the views and grounds are serene. Very pet-friendly as well. The only thing to note is some of the rooms don’t have blinds over the top window near the ceiling (e.g., Captain’s Watch) so you may wake up with the sunrise.

Quiet with all we needed for a comfortable stay. We were in a single room cottage. The closet was tiny and our cottage had no additional storage so come prepared to keep your things in your suitcase. Also no streaming on the TV so we didn’t turn it on. Kitchen area also with minimal storage and a tiny refrigerator Ok for a short stay

Love this place. We had the whale watch room with partial ocean views. The room is spacious and very pleasant. The deck is a nice place to sit, enjoy, and take in the views. Lots of vista points and hike options nearby. Super quick to pop into Mendocino. Fort Bragg is worth the short drive, too. We should have stayed another night. Can't wait for an opportunity to come back again.

Our cabin was quiet and tucked away. The bed was comfortable and our view was to natural forest behind - two chairs and a coffee table on the deck were a nice touch, the bathtub is okay for those who like to soak but we prefer showers and would rather that space provided a more up to date shower. The shower was small and faucets etc. Cold and corroded. If you stay, ask for daily maintenance or they don't do it. We were four miles south of Mendocino and that worked out just fine, it was quaont and comfortable.

What a quaint and cute cottage. Loved the room and freshly ground coffee! It's a ROKU TV, so have your passwords ready, but all was great! Would have been nice to have a couple of breakfast items. Otherwise, enjoy! Beautiful view!

This is my absolute favorite place and home away from home. The staff are so friendly, and the historical rooms are beautiful. They are so wonderful with any and all accomodations you may need, and they love the dogs. We will definitely be back over and over again.

It was lovely to be just 2 miles from Mendocino, with views of the Ocean and having a full cottage with kitchen and dining table. Fairly rustic, not luxury in any means but great value for the price. Careful, the Rose Garden cottage is not a 2 bedrooms cottage. It can sleep 4 but the entire space is open (bedroom has no door) and has large opening to the living room where the sofabed is for the other 2 guests.
