"Everything was very good except for two things: First, upon first use of the bathroom, we learned the toilet was clogged. Called down to the front desk and they provided a plunger, but we had to deal with it ourselves. Not a problem, just annoying.
Second, and I want to stress this was not a direct problem of the hotel, but the power went out twice. Turns out they, like everyone else, suffered rolling brown-outs. Having A/C in the middle of summer is a must-have so that was a challenge. Worse, power to the elevator went out. First time it happened, my husband just missed being trapped by seconds (too close!). Second time, the power to the elevator never came back on. The morning of our check-out we had to use the stairs twice (once for breakfast and once for checkout). The problem with that is I have bad knees and I relied on the elevator. Again, not the hotels fault, but a problem for me, nonetheless.
Otherwise a good experience. Would stay here, and other Homewood Suites, again."
