"We arrived early and were told we could have a free upgrade. Our room, which was booked for 4, actually had 8 comfortable beds and was very spacious. The room had beautiful decor and we entered the bathroom which had 2 showers and a bath which was almost like a small swimming pool. Amazing! On the way out the staff suggested places we could go and were very friendly making us love Liverpool all the more. Thank you Shankleys for a great stay!"

"Lovely stay again. We were originally placed over Mathew Street in a standard room and realised on check in that it was a little loud for our liking. I went down to reception and was told there were no standard rooms to swap with so we were upgraded to a deluxe room and moved to the opposite side of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were very accommodating. Amenities in the room were fabulous. Mathew street around the corner offers entertainment and live music which was also handy as you don’t have to go far at all. Another amazing stay and will be returning. "

"Really enjoyed this hotel. Great, central location. Good breakfast food. My only suggestion would be to have a couple smaller breakfast options (like just eggs and toast), because the menu items were larger than my typical breakfast, so while it all tasted great, I felt guilty for wasting the half that I couldn’t finish. "
