Lovely hotel and great breakfast, but major noise issues The hotel itself is lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately, our stay in Room 404 was extremely noisy. We could hear constant street noise, and there was heavy bass from nearby nightclubs well into the evening, which made it very difficult to sleep. The room is also directly opposite the housekeeping area, and we could clearly hear staff talking early in the morning. To their credit, reception moved us to a room at the back of the hotel around 1am, which we appreciated. However, housekeeping entered that room at 6:50am, turned the lights on, and woke us up — not ideal after such a disrupted night. When we later returned to our original room, the noise from the housekeeping area was again noticeable. We informed reception about our experience when checking out, but nothing was done to address the situation. This could be a fantastic place to stay with better sound insulation and improved customer service

Bitterly cold in the room. Next day (still not up to fair temperature), the staff turned the heat off so the room was freezing the second night too. When i say cold, even in thick socks on the carpeted areas, our feet were freezing. The bathroom slate/tile floor was beyong description.
