For me personally staying on my own i am well looked after and it is nice when staff recognise you. Nothing is too much trouble. I like to come twice a year to relax. I also enjoy having treatments at the spa.

The hotel is nice, felt clean, if slightly dated. The staff are a credit and very friendly and attentive. The spa is pretty good. The only negative, is whilst reasonably priced for a spa hotel, aside from bottles of water in the rooms, everything is an extra. Robes, slippers or rather sandals all have to be paid for, no little gifts in rooms etc. just feels like they want to sell everything else and it’s not cheap for any extras. Breakfast was nice and plenty of choice, parking excellent, room was comfortable.

I booked a short break so i could include celebrating my birthday. I was lucky that the room i booked had a balcony. I booked an afternoon tea for my birthday which was fab. The meals in the restaurant i can't fault. I managed to book a back, neck and shoulder massage.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel and very clean. All staff very welcoming. I had room 4 which i was happy with. I wouldnt necessarily have wanted that room during a heatwave because it was very stuffy with only a small window for air. But in the UK this is rarely a problem, lets face it. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful, plenty of choice and vegan options available. A lovely hotel that I will be returning to (but will probably avoid August because of the hot room + menopause, iykyk).
