OK charity place on the water in Rio Dulce
My visit started badly because they had no record of my booking. Only after I showed them my confirmed booking did the receptionist stop trying to make me pay for one of their two remaining expensive rooms and referred to a superior. The place is expensive for its condition, by Guatemalan standards, but OK if you tell yourself you are supporting orphans. (The place is run by an outfit supporting orphans.) The hotel is rather worn on the whole, and noisy live music in the evening makes the restaurant unattractive. But it was convenient for my shuttle bus from Floris which arrived at the front door.
