Room was ok. Small double bed. No headboard, just the wall behind the bed. No hot water in peak times. No black out curtains at all. Lighting very dim in the room so impossible to put make up on anywhere other than the bathroom.

Am giving yhis a very low rateing of 2 stars. I payed £130 for a room breakfast and use of pool. Put on arrival i got told pool and sauna is not included to which i had tp pay exter £10 each. The pool and the spa was cold The steam room stayed on for 5min then went off for 10min as it was on a timer we then had to pay extra for breakfast This is not clealy showing on there site as you pay for just room only. when i booked myself in at the desk the afternoon staff at the desk were very helpful. The next mornin i went down to the deck To be stud around for 10min as no staff were on the desk. I then came back down to hand my key in. Myself and 2 other customers was stud around again for 10min as no staff. But some good points the Rooms were clean and bed was really comfortable. I will not be staying at that hotel again as it miss leadingthat you have to pay extra for breakfast, the use of the pool and towels.
The only downfall I found was there wasn't enough plug sockets, one by each side of the bed would help a lot. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay.
Room 205 has ro be the worst room without a view ive ever stayed in. The noise from the extraction system was too loud for me to open the window and get some fresh air. I was very disappointed overall.
However the bed was comfy and the shower pleasant. The wash hand basin was a bit of a joke being lilliputian and more akin to a tiny loo under the stairs!
Breakfast was good and staff pkeasant.
Lovely grounds and hotel, room comfy & warm. Ideal base for Llangollen. Breakfast was okay, simple selection of continental & then you order a cooked breakfast option.
Room was okay, the main light didn't work nor did the extractor fan in the bathroom. Shower was great and we slept alright.
Main issue was with the restaurant, we tried it both for breakfast and dinner one night and were incredibly disappointed, especially with dinner. Everything felt very overpriced for small portion sizes and food that didn't blow us away. Even a Pepsi on draft costed more than whole starters in other places we went to during our weekend in Llangollen. We also had to wait 30+ minutes between our starter and main

The staff were very courteous but the hotel was let down by us having to move room immediately as there was a main light not working and there weren’t any replacement bulbs available. The room did actually smell very unpleasant, so the move was welcomed. Our second room (217) was fine but maintenance had to visit as the radiators were cold and required bleeding.
The parking was great and the breakfast was value for money

Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. It was conveniently situated for Pontcysyllte and Wrexham.
The bedrooms and meals were perfectly adequate for our purposes. Excellent car park immediately outside the property.
A great place to stay close to all the amenities in Llangollen. Very friendly staff without exception. Delicious food with a wide choice including vegan dishes. Spa was excellent with a big hydro pool.
Great hotel excellent service, plenty of parking.
Would recommend this hotel.

The hotel would have been fine, but we booked a king room with a pull out couch and the headboard was king, but the bed was a queen. The pullout couch was broken in the middle, (bent bars) and almost ten of the tension springs were missing. My adult son was sleeping in a pit that hung so low the front board of the couch dug into his back. They brought a fold up cot that would be suitable for a small child as a solution. It was very disappointing.
Hotel was clean well maintained and staff very pleasant. Slight criticisms no body lotion or tissues in the room and the kettle is very difficult to get under the tap to fill.
