The welcome pack was much appreciated and Chris could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. I loved the upside down style and it did not affect the views. "My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc on. wifi connection great. Don't wear sliders on your feet when trying to do the fire or else you will slip on the mud which is hilarious to a teenager btw. Hot tub takes about 4 hours to...

"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"Excellent staff behind the bar,young lady at the bar offered to assist caring the drinks to our table rather than me having a tray more than once and then saying the table needed to be cleaned as in her eyes it was dirty . Nothing seemed to to much trouble from the staff during our stay. Breakfast as good as I’ve seen bar prices I expected to be dearer did not disappoint Overall we will be returning in the near future as an excellent place to stay a place that promotes tourism in Chester . Thank you on behalf of myself and my wife"
