"My husband and 2 daughters stayed for 7 nights at the Gastof Eiserne Hand while visiting the area to ski and watch the Free Ride World Tour event. They had the most amazing hospitality from Markus and Micel and stated "it was the best place we have ever stayed". The beds were comfortable, the location beautiful, the breakfast delicous and the after dinner schnaps very much enjoyed. "An absolutely amazing experience. The hotel is superbly located at 1,000 metres up in the mountains and has a beautiful and modern design. Our room had a spectacular M An absolutely amazing experience. The hotel is superbly located at 1,000 metres up in the mountains and has a beautiful and modern design. Our room had a spectacular Mountain View and the food was superb. All the staff were lovely and friendly (Justin, Mario, Anita, Christian & Andy to name but a few) and we loved the activities. We went canyoning, via ferrata climbing and mountain biking and had a great time. The activity team were brilliant and worked very hard to organise everything for us which made our trip so enjoyable. Thank you everyone and we look forward to returning soon."

"Excellent value for the money. The hotel is in a great location, about a 15-minute walk from the city center and most of the main attractions, making it easy to explore on foot. Breakfast is included, but it’s very simple: coffee, croissants and bread with butter, jam, and a pumpkin spread. There’s nothing wrong with the quality, but if you’re expecting a more substantial breakfast, it’s worth planning ahead or adjusting your expectations. The staff is very friendly and genuinely tries to help. Their English is somewhat limited, which can occasionally make communication a bit challenging, but they always make an effort. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel does not offer a laundry service, so if you’re planning a longer stay and need to wash clothes, you’ll need to use a laundromat nearby. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a clean, well-located hotel at a reasonable price."

"Just around the corner from the Main street of the old town- full of shops, restaurants and cafés. Stayed in the “Residence” annex building across the road from the hotel. Large room, comfortable, air con, window shutters The hotel has a pool, gym and sauna but I didn’t have time to use them I ate breakfast at a nearby cafe, so can’t comment on the hotel’s offering Parking was €22 additional and was 3 minutes walk away"

"The hotel itself is beautiful and very conveniently located. Parking was easy. Breakfast was plentiful, but not catered to those looking for halal options. However, the staff appeared a bit cold — not sure it was due to cultural or language differences. The room had only one twin blanket with a duvet cover. The AC in our room would not cool and the room became uncomfortable to sleep at night. I called the reception to ask for help, but nobody answered the phone. Eventually, I sent an email to the hotel which went unanswered. The next morning, I informed the receptionist about the issues, and she said that she was already aware of them from my email. I had to go back to the reception again in the afternoon to ask for a blanket. I wish the service was better. The water supply in the bathroom also acted strangely. It would randomly swing between hot and cold while taking a shower. Overall, it was a mixed experience."
