This was the perfect cabin for a girls' weekend getaway! We enjoyed the hot tub, cozy living room, and spacious well-stocked kitchen. It was clean, and the location in the woods felt private. Highly recommend!
Our group had an amazing weekend at this cabin. The house is beautiful, clean, and has wonderful common spaces to spend time together. The living room fireplace was lovely, and so was the hot tub! The property felt fairly secluded and private, with beautiful forest surroundings. We especially appreciated that we could bring our dog with us!
“Beautiful cabin with everything we needed for a perfect short getaway. The cleanliness was truly top notch—spotless and well-maintained. Highly recommend!”
The cabin is fantastic, we've stayed in many and this is certainly in our top 2. With the hot tub, pool table, and very quiet area, this is awesome. It is a bit remote, so bring food and snacks. There was a slight issue with some cookware, but Julianna was very responsive. Great stay!
We have stayed at a lot of cabins over the years and this 1 by far was the best 1 yet! House and location was perfect. Really sad to leave. We will be back!
Absolutely beautiful cabin and property! Quiet, private and peaceful! Exceptionally clean. Supplied everything one could need. Cooked our meals in the spacious kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyed the deck, porch, hot tub and fire pit. Watching nature by day and sitting under starry skies by night was so relaxing. Cowans Gap State park also has trails and lake for water fun. Can't wait to go back to this hidden gem in the woods!
My family and I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful, secluded cabin. The property truly lives up to its description as a peaceful getaway. The views from the A-frame windows were breathtaking, and we loved spending our mornings with coffee on the screened-in deck and evenings unwinding in the hot tub.The cabin itself was exceptionally clean and well-stocked; the kitchen had everything we needed and more to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner. With over 5 acres, there was plenty of room for outdoor games, and the kids loved exploring the yard. The host was very responsive and helpful, making the entire process seamless. The only downside was there was no bathroom in the outside cottage. But that didn’t stop us from having fun! We highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy quality time in a tranquil, natural setting!
We loved our stay at your place. The house was beautiful. The only thing that was a problem was the hot tub was not very warm the first night. The water was very low in it as well. Other than that it was great. The weather was not great but we made the best of it. I am hoping to do this in the future with all of our kids. Thank you for everything!!
Fantastic property tucked away in the hills. Was an unusually hot Pennsylvania weekend, but the climate control of the house was exceptional. Hot tub in the property was a nice touch, and the fire pit was an excellent place to unwind in the evenings. The kitchen functioned extremely well, permitting each of us to prepare a wide range of dishes while visiting. Absolutely recommend this listing for a nice secluded getaway.
Our stay at this property was absolutely fantastic! The highlight was the warm, rustic ambiance created by the amazing interior wood-burning fireplace, which made the evenings incredibly cozy in this picturesque log home. This was beautifully complemented by the charming outdoor fire pit, perfect for stargazing and late-night conversation. A huge, stress-free bonus was that the owner generously provides the firewood, ensuring there was an abundant supply for both features throughout our entire visit. While the initial description was somewhat vague, the actual accommodations were spacious and versatile. The main house comfortably offered two distinct queen-sized bedrooms and a flexible sleeping loft, providing multiple options for guests. Additionally, a quaint exterior cabin sits just next to the main house, featuring a private queen-sized bedroom—an ideal setup for someone seeking extra privacy and seclusion. A critical note for guests is that the cabin does not include a bathroom, meaning occupants must use the facilities in the main house.I couldn't be happier with the rental; it felt like a true escape. The blend of comfort, privacy, and cozy amenities was perfect, and I'm already looking forward to planning a future trip back very soon!
This place is as advertised. I ran across this searching for a nice cabin to stay during the fall. The house, the property and location was amazing. We had no complaints. We really enjoyed the views and the outside fire pit. The new Yefu outdoor chairs were very comfortable as well. There was lots of dead trees in the woods so I gathered my own wood as opposed to using the wood that was at the property.
The kitchen had all of the necessary accessories for cooking. The property has a coffee pot and Keurig machine. There is a big two car garage that was free to use so that was a nice bonus.
There are several state parks nearby for hiking of sightseeing.
The property manager recommended going to Cowans Gap State park. It is about a 25 min drive southwest and the park was beautiful. It has a kids playground, a nice lake, and nice walking trail around the lake. During your drive to or from the park, there is a double dip drive-in that sells ice cream. It is very nostalgic and reminded me of places from the 60's.
Overall, my family and friends had a great time. We will be returning.
When we arrive my niece decided it is a house she could see herself living in permanently. This is a great family get away with beautiful surroundings. The house had all new appliances and features. The only thing missing was a cork screw 😊. We will try to return next year.
