The cabin was great We had everything we needed. The location is close to the park. I would caution that the dirt road to the cabin would be difficult for vehicles that don't have high clearance.

Had a wonderful stay with our two teens. Everything was at least as good as described. The internet was awesome, the kids loved the hot tub, it was a quiet, beautiful, and very cold weekend. Would return to this property.

Cute cabin, as advertised. Hot tub was hot, had all the pots and pans you'd need, coffee maker worked great. Great location and central to all the hikes. 3 minutes from the ice cream shop! We would definitely come back.

Adorable in the Woods Cabin

Beautiful up to date, 2 bedroom, cabin with all the amenities of home, including Wi-Fi. We loved the whole experience of staying off the beaten track and having to drive back into the woods, while we were hiking in Hocking Hills. Definately would stay here again.

Hunter's Retreat

Beautiful cabin! Definitely a great place to get away and relax! No service through Verizon but the cabin does have WiFi so we could still contact our kids back home 👍Great experience hiking some trails, only 5 minutes from Old Man's cave. Hot tub is a great bonus!

A Gorgeous Get Away

First off, extremely clean. Quaint, private and as advertised, hot tub was clean, beds were clean. My girlfriend and i are bartenders and wanted a couple days away, the cabin was our vacation. Bring some movies and a speaker but a really nice cabin we'll be back for sure.

Perfect getaway weekend

We loved hunters retreat. My sister and I met there for a pampering weekend. We hiked and had some good meals but mostly just enjoyed the cabin (and that great hot tub). It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The only thing that was odd was there was no phone in case of emergency. We knew there was no internet or Wi-Fi but there was an emergency number but no way to use it in case. Otherwise, great!

Perfect woodsy getaway

This cabin was perfect for our small group of 4. The two bedrooms are set up exactly the same and the bathroom is conveniently located between the two. The beds were comfortable and plenty of closet space to hang clothes. We really enjoyed the indoor fireplace when it was chilly on the first night we stayed, and the wrap around deck overlooking the woods was perfect for our morning coffees. The hot tub was the icing on the cake and it was clean, stayed hot and was roomy. There was enough parking for 3-4 cars and the drive into town was about 15-20 min. The state park was only 5 min away. Highly recommend Ole Dutch, an Amish buffet. We will return!

Hunters Retreat Cabin

The cabin is in an amazing location! Close to everything. The only negative point was the fireplace didn't have a working screen protector. It was all broken and didn't close easily. We didn't want to leave a fire unattended while enjoying the hot tub. However, we wanted a fire for when we came in from the cold. Other than that, everything was good.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful time on our Hocking Hills vacation. I have stayed in many places in the area and this was a favorite, for sure. It was sparkling clean and had lots of nice amenities. We used the kitchen for most meals and it had almost all we needed. (bring your own seasonings) We had rainy and cold weather so we definitely utilized the super clean hot tub! Even the kids enjoyed it, to my surprise. The fireplace was nice post-hot tub too. There is no internet, which was well communicated by he host. It did however make looking up local info a little more difficult, naturally. But it was nice for the kids to give their devices a rest. Bring cards and board games! We did and had a great time. I am picky about my sleep and found the beds to be pretty comfortable. The nighttime noise takes a little getting used to for the kiddos- a sound machine is recommended if you have little ones. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We will be back!

We loved the views by the creek, the front porch was so inviting and perfect. It was close to the hiking trail we wanted to hike (smith creek to Ruby falls) easy and close drive into Helen. The only thing is , we got there in the dark and it was hard to find our cabin . But Don, the owner met us there and was texting us with how to find it. Communication with the owner was very good. All was great and we enjoyed our fall girls trip in November.

The Hunter’s Retreat cabin was wonderful. It is close to the park and easy to get to. Spent mid week exploring and hiking Hocking Hills. We took advantage of the hot tub both before and after the day of hiking. The fireplace was perfect and romantic. Able to view wildlife while soaking in the hottub Only suggestion would be to replace one of the mattresses. One was soft and comfy the other was very firm. Would recommend this retreat to others.
