Locally-crafted, custom luxury log home, spacious 1800 square foot of living space on (one bedroom on each floor with a bath) for plenty of privacy for all. set in the heart of the Hocking Hills. 5-10 minutes from ALL leading attractions and State Parks. The Frontier Cabin is located off a secluded township road, on a wooded hillside lot. Our Summit Lodge next door incase you have a large group you could consider booking both.

We welcome family gatherings and mature groups of friends seeking quiet enjoyment of the beauty the Hocking Hills offers. If you have a guest that is disabled or mobility challenged, they may have trouble negotiating the staircases. Please ask questions and consider photographs for more information.(If you are looking for a place to have a party, please don't book with us.)

We decorate "over the top" with Christmas trees, Christmas bedspreads, centerpieces, Christmas dishes and many other small touches that make the cabin totally about Christmas. Jesus is the Reason for the Season. Decorations are up from Thanksgiving through mid-January. - Bedroom/Bathroom 1: luxurious master suite with Queen bed, dresser, and nightstands. The attached bathroom has a tub and shower.
- Bedroom/Bathroom 2: Queen bed with chest and nightstand. Full bath.
- Bedroom 3: Queen bed with dresser and nightstand. Full bath attached
- Sleeping area in Game Room has a full-size bed and shares the bath with bedroom #3.

- 1200+ square feet of covered decks to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

- Covered Rear deck: Accessible from the dining room, the back deck has a large covered hot tub, table and stools for outdoor dining, yard games.
- Ground level: Outside the lower level a fire pit with plenty of seating. Deck has a picnic table. There is also plenty of flat parking.

One night stays may be available if 1 open night remains between other reservations. Please ask if this is not available to book. Limited guests (to avoid parties) on these one night stays. Note our policy on parties.

Pricing Explained: Frontier Cabin accommodates up to 8 guests. The base rate covers 2 guests, with each additional guest costing $33 per person, per night. This pricing structure ensures fairness for smaller groups. Children 6 months and under do not count toward the guest total.

Annual girls trip

This was our second year getting this house and again it was beautiful, clean, relaxing. The host is amazing! I HIGHLY Recommend this home to everyone. My daughter is 8 and loves the home also. It is definitely a little piece of heaven, we will be back next year for our yearly girls trip

Great Cabin! Clean, Interesting & Great Location

We had a great time in Hocking and loved the cabin. There were 4 of us and it was very comfortable, clean and had all the amenities we could want. I appreciated the clear instructions for everything and it was pretty low stress. Everything was clean, new feeling, and the layout was really fun (steep / ladder-like stairs, lots of wood details, modern bathrooms).

Trip with grandkids

We were a short distance from Hocking Hills & loved the cabin nestled in the woods! The temperature the days we stayed was in the 90’s, but the canopy of trees made the time much cooler! We had all the amenities we needed for the stay & it was beautiful, clean & well maintained! Our grandkids ages 8 to 17 said they liked our stay better than our usual stay at Cedar Point!!

This was our 2nd stay at Frontier Cabin for our Girl’s weekend in Hocking Hills. This was by far the best cabin we’ve rented. It’s in a great location, quiet and secluded although close to many trails and Hocking Hills State Park. It was perfect for the 4 of us, we each had our own space. The cabin was comfortable, spotless, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the back porch. Loved the firefly lights and new garden! Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property, highly recommend

We stayed over Christmas. The cabin was beautifully decorated. Very close to Hocking Hills and Logan Ohio. Plenty of entertainment with large hot tub and game room. Be careful if traveling with persons who may have trouble navigating steep stairs.

Fabulous accommodations!

Very beautiful cabin in the woods! We never saw another person and it felt very private. Accommodations were very clean and as described. Read the fine print on the availability of laundry as that depends on your number of nights booked. Hot tub was hot and the fire pit was a favorite spot! We will visit this place and property again!

Cabin is secluded, clean. Kitchen was furnished with dishes, pans, etc. bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Had washer and dryer. Games for indoor and outdoor. Hottub was nice and hot. Perfect location for all hocking hills parks.

Adorable Cabin - Perfect Weekend!

This cabin was amazing for a girls weekend! The property had plenty of space, giving us each our own bedroom and bathroom. Lots of places to sit and relax - a great front porch, raised deck with rocking chairs, back deck, fire pit and hot tub! The fire pit was large with plenty of seating and we loved the projector lights on the trees outside, it was so special! The hot tub was huge and really clean and we used it quite a bit. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfy - great kitchen and dining as well. It was also super close to everything we needed, 10-15 min from all the major hiking trails we wanted, the town with food, winerys nearby etc. Wonderful stay!

Pretty Good Stay

I liked this place and the owner was kind. Unfortunately, the internet was dropping constantly (not the owners fault) and previous guests didn’t leave the place as clean as I would have liked (once again, not the owners fault). I tried to leave the place better than how it was left. Honestly, I wish I could have stayed another day or two to take advantage of the items provided.

Frontier cabin

Our stay in the frontier cabin was great. It felt secluded but we were close enough to drive to all the Hocking Hills attractions each day. The cabin was a perfect fit for our family of four. My husband and I took the main floor, my teen daughter took the top and teen son took the bottom. They were thrilled to each have their own full bathroom. We enjoyed the hot tub every evening after hiking in the mornings, grilled out for lunch, roasted hot dogs and made smores at the campfire and stayed up too late watching Netflix. The games were a big hit too.

The perfect location to celebrate 40 years!

From the moment we drove up to Frontier Cabin we knew we had found the perfect location for our family gathering. Nestled in the woods, this cabin features 3 levels, each with its own bedroom and bathroom offering privacy for our 3 families. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals, the island was great for setting out food and the living/dining area was so relaxing with big windows to watch the outside while sitting by the fireplace. We loved the hot tub and really appreciated the Welcome Book with all the instructions for proper care of the cabin and its amenities. Each room is decorated so nicely, all the beds were super comfy and the cabin was spotlessly clean. We all had the BEST time and hope to be back again!

Perfect Little Getaway - Beautiful Cabin

My husband, daughter (5), and I stayed at the cabin Nov. 1 - 5 and had a wonderful time. Old Man's Cave was only 8 minutes away. The owners were great about warning us that there is NO SERVICE and your GPS really doesn't work anywhere around there, so we could plan in advance at the house to get on the WIFI and screenshot directions prior to leaving to explore trails or head into Logan. The hot tub was our favorite thing to do in the morning and night. The cabin was cozy & clean. We enjoyed the fireplace and hung in the basement to play board games or foosball. We made a fire one night and it is really peaceful and secluded there. The lights were a nice surprise. There was a nice gas grill to use and the kitchen had everything we needed (even a crock pot for a roast we left in all day while we went out hiking)! The only thing to warn about are the steep stairs to each floor. The cabin was absolutely perfect in every other way though. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend to others!

Great Location, Beautiful Property, but there were a few things...

First, the location of the property is great. It's secluded and about 10 minutes or less from most of the things you probably have on your list of things to do in the Hocking Hills area. The house itself is clean and the property is well kept. While the listing does state that it is a first level walk-in, it must be stated that the flight of stairs to the first level are STEEP!! To the point that we were traveling with my in-laws and after the first day, they didn't come upstairs anymore. The kitchen, hot-tub, living room, other living spaces are all upstairs. We accommodated them by shifting things to the lower level. There is a bedroom down there were they slept and a game-room area with a futon and TV were we hung out, but it was unfortunate that we didn't feel like we could experience the whole house with them. The pricing structure of this rental is different than most. It is explained in the bottom paragraph ALL the way to the end of the listing. YOU WILL NOT PAY THE QUOTED PRICE YOU SEE LISTED!! By the time I secured this listing for 5 people, it was more than double the initial per night price with the additional per person/night fees, host fees, etc. This is fine, if you are prepared going into it. I gave Evelyn the owner some constructive feedback about the booking process, the number and type of communications she sends out, the harsh tone of the house rules, and the role it plays on the guest experience. She basically blew it off, which is what I expected.

Mid-May Hocking Hills Vacation

The cabin was comfortable and very clean (cleanest rental we've ever stayed in). Well-stocked kitchen. Enjoyed the 6 person hot tub daily, and also used the (very nice) grill. Location was excellent! Many of the hikes we wanted to do were within 10 to 15 minutes of the cabin. Would definitely recommend!
