Wonderful

My husband and I stayed here for a honeymoon getaway. We loved the seclusion, views, hot tub, and overall coziness of the property. The cabin is close to many attractions while also being only minutes away from Logan. The only suggestion I have for the owners is to include a rod for the sliding door. As a female who frequently travels alone with young kids I would not have not felt secure with only the hook lock on the door.
The cabin was very clean, organized and cozy! Hot tub was clean and warm! Host was very helpful when we reached out regarding spotty wifi, however we were also looking to disconnect from tech so this wasnt a huge issue to us! Noticed though that the check in and check out process must have changed as the instructions did not match the current installed system, so that was a bit confusing but once we figured it out it was a breeze!
Beautiful location, private and nestled in the woods. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck with coffee in the morning and hanging around the fire pit at night. Perfect place for a get away!
Great little place perfect for a small family. We were within 20 minutes to all the attractions and we had deer come in to see us everyday. We had a great experience for our first time visiting the area.
The tree house was wonderful.Lots of peace and quiet! Deer in the area every night. It is close to the sites we wanted to visit and had everything we needed for our stay.
Loved the seclusion and closeness to the best trails! Hot tub in the snow can’t be beat.
Fix the step heading up stairs! Bit it twice off it
Great stay, great place
This treehouse is set back in the woods, very private. The house is beautiful, we used the fire pit, the hot tub, the loft. We would definitely rebook!
We had a great time! The hot tub was great and the space was very comfy. If I could make one suggestion it would be to increase the distance between parking and the property. It wasnt 30 sec, but a few minutes with hills and bridges requiring a cart for luggage.
Overall we had a wonderful time. Sidney Nook is clean and accessible to all types of activities and restaurants. The property manager was responsive to my questions and concerns. My only issue was the WiFi, it was terrible, so bring all your directions—print them out. Plan out where you would like to eat. Also the shower could use some TLC,
Perfect spot for our first vacation in a decade. My girls and I enjoyed the peace and seclusion of this perfect little treehouse to reconnect, recharge and simply enjoy some downtime. The listing said that there is a charcoal grill and that you should bring your own charcoal, I was thrilled to see that there is now a gas grill because this mom wasn’t going to mess with charcoal!
The 30 second walk from the car was a little bit longer than that but well worth being off the road and nestled in nature where we watched the squirrels and mama deer with her twins.
We really liked this property due to the seclusion (short walk from parking spot to house) and the view (it was amazing!) I wish I could have stayed longer and would consider staying here again. I love the floor to ceiling windows and cozy feel! I would recommend this property for solo traveler and/or intimate weekend with partner.
The only drawback: hot tub wasn't warming up (it was cold out so not sure if that was the reason - another review mentioned it) and the place was in need of a deep cleaning, especially the kitchenette area.
The cabin was very cozy. It was about half of the size that it appeared to be from the pictures. The path from the parking to the cabin could have been lit better as a lot of the lights weren’t working, or weren’t that bright. The only other thing I would say is that I wish there was a gate by the stairs to keep people or animals from getting on the porch. Overall, it is a very nice cabin for 2 people or less. Anymore than that and it would be very crowded.
The place was amazing. Perfect for 2 people; 4 people would be tight. The walk from the car is far and they provide a cart for luggage. There is a gas grill and a Keurig machine. The kitchen is small, but we made do. No oven, but there is microwave and toaster oven. The deck overlooked the woods, and we saw deer and other wildlife. There were nice deck chairs to sit and enjoy the view. The hot tub was wonderful although only 2 jets worked, but it was still very relaxing. There is only 1 small mirror in the place and that is above the bathroom sink. Bring a flashlight or lantern so you can see from the walk to and from the car at nighttime. It is a very dark walk at night. All the windows let in the natural light and was beautiful in the morning. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Just OK
The hike to get to the cabin is not for elderly. There is a pretty steep hill to start and end the trail to and from your vehicle. The trail has solar lights that do not work. They have a cart to take your things down the trail to the cabin, it has flat tires and the pump that is there for you to use doesn’t work. Found out on our last night there the hot tub jets didn’t work, but could not contact anyone…. there is no Wi-Fi and we had no service for a few miles out from the property. You can hear the neighbors on both sides of you. The stairs in the cabin to the loft are steep and loft is not for tall people. Ceiling fans will hit your head if your over 6ft. Bring everything you need, they provide towels and bedding. The cabin was cute and clean.
We come Hocking Hills a few times a year and always look to book a different cabin each time. We were excited for this stay as a treehouse stay just seemed fun. Overall, we enjoyed the stay. I saw a few reviews about the cabin in need of a good cleaning. It mainly just needs the cobwebs knocked down and the fan blades dusted off. other than that, it was clean and comfortable. The TV's don't really work so if you are in need of live TV, I suggest something different. However, they do have a large number of movies in a chest upstairs that we enjoyed each night on our stay. The wifi is spotty but it has been in every other cabin we've stayed in over the years. Streaming music was fine, but my husband tried to watch the NFL draft on his phone, and it buffered a lot. Not a big deal to us but just making others aware. We had no issues with the hot tub temp. In fact, we had to turn it down for the rest of the stay. It does have only one working jet but was still relaxing after a day of hiking. My favorite part was the windows and the wildlife. Waking up with the sun coming through the windows was just the best wake up call. As for the wildlife at different times we had a cat, a deer, and a racoon (that we named Rickey) visit us. The raccoon visited every night, and my husband tossed him shelled peanuts from the deck that he snacked on. Communication with the property owner was a breeze. Overall, we'd definitely consider staying here again.
Make no mistake this property is an idyllic location and was spotlessly clean.
The walk from the parking area to the property was described as a 30 second walk. It is about 150 yard walk. On the surface this isn't so bad considering the serene peacefulness realized upon arrival. The problem came later when we had to return to the car after dark. There were 4 or 5 "night lights" on trees to, at least, to provide a rough guideline of the path. Only 1 of this lights worked and it did not provide even a low level illumination to the path. There were small lantern type lights along the edge of the path as well but none of these were functioning either. Not safe!
The staircase to the loft, while sturdily constructed, was problematic. As you ascended the stairs you quickly learned that the next step above was overhanging the step below. This required you to pull your foot backwards prior to lifting said foot up to the next step. This is certainly a trip hazard but it gets worse. When descending the staircase because of the overhang from the higher stair, there was only room for half or less of my foot on each lower stair. This represents another fall hazard and is unsafe.
Finally, this property was described as having WiFi. Technically, it did but we were never able to watch a movie let alone read news or mail on our devices. The only modicum of success occurred when ONLY one device was used at a time.
We will not stay again nor recommend this property to anyone.
Wife and I stayed with our two sons and it was the perfect get away. Wish we would have stayed more than one night. Treehouse is far enough in the woods you feel secluded from the other nearby rental properties. Walk is farther than expected from the car but well worth the walk! Communication was top notch with the property manager.
We had a great stay! The cabin is super cozy. Just a heads-up, the walk to the treehouse is not 30 seconds. It was more like 2½ minutes through some fairly rough terrain, especially at night. Also, the one door to the house does not have a locking mechanism on the handle from the inside. The only lock is a thin hook and eye, which was a bit unsettling. But overall, we really enjoyed our time and would totally stay again!
