"They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices. Spacious 3 bedroom longhouse in an idyllic location above Loch Broom
10/10 Excellent
"We had a very relaxing week at Loggia. All was as hoped in the house. We wished we had known about the friendly free range chickens in advance but we did enjoy the fresh eggs they provided! Our time outside where we could easily enjoy the nice view of the loch was limited by the Scottish weather and a bit by the chickens. As senior citizens we were especially appreciative of the indoor safety of the home. As art lovers we were blown away by the wonderful variety of artistic pieces - the talent shared in the textiles, pottery and paintings was very impressive. We were surprised by the wonderful walk going out past the end of the road to an area of crofter ruins with great loch views. Choosing to spend time in Loggia is a guarantee for many vivid memories!"
"A very warm welcome when we arrived. The bedroom had character, was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the loch. Ten minutes walk to the centre of Ullapool. Checking in was at set times, booked before arrival, the last time being 6.45pm, which was a little restrictive. Compared with other places to stay this was good value for money."
Badluarach Sea View - a cottage that sleeps 5 guests in 3 bedrooms
8/10 Good
"This is a really nice 'traditional' croft/cottage in an amazing location. Plus sides - location, value, enclosed garden (clean/safe area for food and letting our dog out away from sheep in the wider grounds area). The view is outstanding - we saw seals, dolphins, stags, buzzards and red kites from the cottage. The surrounding area is superb for hills, beaches, rock climbing etc. Ullapool is about 45 minutes away for shops and touristy stuff. Downsides - it is relatively remote so you will be driving to anything you want to do, the ceilings are low (my son is 6 foot and had to duck for downstairs doors and couldn't stand upright anywhere in the upstairs, the rest of us are 5 1/2 footers so were OK bar under eaves upstairs). We had very sporadic 4G mobile so you may struggle if you want to be online constantly. Kitchen is reasonably equipped for 4 so we cooked in most evenings and enjoyed the peace and quiet."
"Incredible Shepherds Hut. So peaceful and quiet. Beautiful location. Excellent facilities. I was there for 5 days working locally and loved getting back to the hut to relax and unwind."
