"We get to the hotel and greet the receptionist and say we have a reservation and she starts speaking in german and say we don't have a reservation (i think) in a very angry way, and when i didn't understand she got even angrier and gesticulates at us, and then guy shows up that speaks good enough english and we ask what's wrong and he says nothing and we get our key. "We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a broader trip through Germany as we toured Rugen And Usedom. This is a remote hotel within walking distance to the Baltic Sea in the quaint little small town of Devin. The rooms are a decent size for Germany and they were clean and comfortable. The staff spoke little English but were very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant was one of our favorites in Germany with exceptional schnitzel! it was five stars! Would definitely stay here again."

"Very friendly staff, amazing location on canal. Room was large and very comfortable. Restaurant is excellent. Had dinner there two evenings and tried five different dishes - all delicious. Some of the best food we've had in Germany. Lots of nice walking paths - along the canal, beach area, to local ruins of a monastery. You can reach the innercity of Greifswald by bus - about 25 minutes away."

"Der Hof Verchen liegt nur 3...4 Minuten vom Kummerower See entfernt. Im Sommer hat man den Vorteil, dass man mit ein paar Schritten dem Trubel am Wasser entfliehen kann und doch nahe dran ist. Und jetzt im Winter ist es herrlich still. Ich habe den Sessel vor das Gartenfenster geschoben und Wildgänse und Singschwäne beobachtet. Die Ferienwohnung war geräumig sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und hatte alles, was man braucht. Und die Vermieter sind überaus freundlich und vermitteln Willkommensein."
