"Sadly- things just didn’t go smoothly. Air conditioning in our room was not working- we were offered a fan the first day. However the next day I asked the maintenance guy himself and it was fixed in 2 minutes. Power went out in our room one morning from turning on the hair dryer. We were told maintenance wasn’t in yet so no one could flip the breaker. Room keys reset 3 of 4 days. Keys didn’t work to pool We had called ahead to learn if there were plans for an egg hunt / the Easter Bunny - we were told no. Yet there were. They were updating the room to the left and right of us - which was needed. But started working at 8am- not great when traveling with teenagers who could have slept in for their spring break. Pool towels lacking. Pool app to order - didn’t work Once we got it to and food was sent without the modifications They need to set aside parking for hotel guests versus restaurant guests versus members . "

"I booked this hotel specifically because the website advertised it as pet friendly — that was the deciding factor. What I didn’t see anywhere in the listing was any mention of a $100 pet fee for a single night. That’s a significant charge that deserves to be upfront, not buried or absent entirely. I travel with my emotional support animal, and in my experience, most accommodations either waive the pet fee for ESAs or at least have a clear, transparent policy. When I checked in and was told about the charge, I was caught completely off guard. When I explained that my animal is a registered ESA, the front desk staff were polite but firm — no exceptions. The room itself was fine, and the property is clean. But the lack of transparency around fees and the blanket policy that ignores the distinction between pets and emotional support animals left a bad taste. If you’re going to market yourself as pet friendly, at minimum be upfront about the costs. A $100 fee for one night is steep, and finding out at check-in is a frustrating way to start a stay. Travelers with ESAs, take note — call ahead and confirm the fee policy before booking, because “pet friendly” here doesn’t mean what you might expect."

"This place was great!! The location is beautiful, the property is magical, and the host was incredible. I can already see trying to come back again sometime during warmer weather to fully enjoy the outdoor areas and the pace by the creek. "

"We chose this home based on the listing photos, which made it appear bright, modern, and comfortable. In person, however, the house felt noticeably darker and more dated than expected.The house was uncomfortably warm, with no air conditioning and very limited airflow. This made the stay difficult.The property is accessed via a long, winding, single-lane road that felt steep and challenging to navigate, particularly after dark. This detail was not clearly communicated in the listing and would have been helpful to know in advance.Additionally, one of the bedrooms described as having a queen bed instead included a twin bed and a loft space accessed by a steep ladder with another small bed. This setup differed from our expectations based on the description.We had originally planned a six-night stay so our son could recover from ACL surgery, but we ended up choosing to leave after less than 24 hours due to the overall situation.We had filtered for pet-friendly properties and assumed that included our cat. After arrival, we learned that cats were not permitted. While we understand this was our misunderstanding, the communication around this felt very aggressive and added to the stress of the situation.Overall, the house did not meet our expectations, and the stay felt more stressful than anticipated during a time when we were hoping for a comfortable and restful environment."

"The property is quaint and lovely. The kitchen was very well stocked. Love the ceiling fans and the natural light from the French doors. I was a little concerned about finding it, but the directions were spot on. This is a beautiful spot to enjoy the redwoods with easy access to downtown Los Gatos or a drive to Santa Cruz. And it is very clean. "

"Beautiful setting, not far from town & easy to find but felt remote - we saw/heard owls, frogs, bats, all kinds of songbirds and possibly coyotes. Room was comfortable and had all the basics. Loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the creek! "
